Welcome to the RP, “Gantz”. This RP will be based off the anime Gantz. And no, you don't need to know what the anime is about in order to join. During the story, members of the RP could and probably will die. You have been warned.
Story:
You were once a regular person, nothing but your dreams and your ambition to guide you into the world and to your death. You now find yourself in an apartment with a large black sphere, Gantz. Gantz believes everyone deserves a second chance and he will give you one if you play his game. He will bring you back to life and let you start your life where you left off but with a price…
RP Rules:
• Members may join at any time during the RP. However if someone new joins during a mission they cannot participate. They’ll have to wait until a new mission starts.
• Posts must at least be more than 5 lines long. It shouldn’t be too hard as there will be a lot you can talk about in this RP.
• No God-moding
• Please be respectful to your fellow RPers.
• Cannot change any of the rules to your benefit.
• If you die you are not allowed to post or do anything. The only way you can get back into the RP is if someone uses their points to revive you.
• When you are not in a mission you are allowed to leave the apartment and start a new life. The reasoning for this is because Gantz erases your memories of your past life. Please note that if you leave the apartment you lose all items and your suit will be unequipped, you’ll be dressed with your regular clothes and you cannot get back into Gantz apartment unless he teleports you there himself. Also be advised that he will ONLY teleport you back into his apartment if there is a new mission.
• You cannot play as anyone from the Anime/Manga/ Games.
• If all of the Hunters die then all members will be allowed to create new characters but this is only allowed if EVERYONE in the RP DIES.
Gantz Rules:
That’s right! Gantz has his own rules! Of course he won’t make it so easy for his Hunters.
• Survival is key; do whatever it takes to survive.
• Right from the bat, Hunters (Players of the Gantz Game) will receive a briefcase of equipment. Equipment include:
Gantz Suit: Unquestionably the most essential piece of equipment the Hunters can employ. Each suit is attuned to an individual body and can only be utilized by that specific Hunter. The suits are tight to a point that the wearer cannot put it on with any kind of underwear, but gives them incredible strength, speed, and endurance. On top of that, the suit provides the player with an almost impenetrable protection to his/her body, even to the head which is fully exposed. Large caliber bullet rounds to the face do not leave as much as a bruise. It should be noted, however, that the suit only seems to protect from blunt attacks such as bullets and punches, but it doesn't seem to do anything for slicing attacks like from a sword. When in full use, the suits' artificial muscles expand, making the Hunter appear larger. In terms of strength, they can easily lift over fifty times their weight and jump well over thirty feet high. However, the amount of damage it can sustain is limited. Should the suit receive too many powerful impacts without time to recover, the "caps" along the suit will break, releasing the essential chemical that powers it, rendering it as useful as ordinary clothes.
Controller: A device used to track the targets, as it carries a small screen displaying the location of the targets. However, the marker on the radar isn't very precise and has created many situations in which the Hunters ran into trouble pinpointing the exact number and location of the targets.
X-Gun: The most frequently used weapon of the Hunters. The X-gun is a small handgun-sized weapon, that gets its name from the four protrusions around the barrel that spread out like an "X" when fired. It also has an X-ray monitor in the back. The X-gun functions by firing nano-sized explosives which stop and explode inside the target. The effectiveness of this gun is not specific to biological targets as it has been shown to affect the surroundings as well. The only drawback to this weapon is that it has a significant time delay between the triggers being pressed and the projectile being fired/impacting the target, during which the enemy can easily dodge it, use an object as a shield, or kill the wielder.
NOTE: There are of course many more weapons that a Hunter can use. Some weapons are actually given by Gantz before doing special missions. Also, Gantz apartment has many rooms. Try exploring, maybe you’ll find something. Please be aware that if Gantz gives you a weapon for a mission or if you find a weapon in the apartment it will stay in the brief case and anyone will be allowed to use it. Also, be aware that there are only enough weapons for everyone to have one of each. There are no doubles, unless someone dies in which you can grab their weapon since they are dead.
Hunters will gain Points which is based on the Target(The bad guy of the mission), the class of the target, and the way the Hunter fights. Once a Player gains 100 points they can do ONE of 3 things:
1. Be set free with their memories of Gantz and the games wiped. They can go back to their old life again.
2. Receive an "ultimate weapon."
3. Be able to bring back to life someone from GANTZ's memory bank.
Also, if you die, all of your points will be lost and be reset back to zero. Another thing, you can't give/ split/ exchange/ share/ borrow/ etc points with anyone. The points you gain are yours and yours alone.
