その漢字をみたことがない

its supposed to be a japanese character.
does this mean that its just an invalid character with no meaning?

could you actually provide a better drawing...?
since i'm most certain a kanji like this does not exist.
if it actually is like this, i would instantly say it's wrong...telling from the drawing alone...not even considering what it's supposed to mean.

and bttr: please do not insult people, thank you.

ive never seen that kanji before and it looks lopsided. kanjis always have this sort of balance to it. im pretty sure that you accidentally drew it wrong. y don't u take a pic of that tattoo? that way we can be sure that there will be no mistakes

I typed "ghost" into the dictionary here: Jim Breen's (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic.html)

And none of the kanji seem to match up. Maybe a pic of the actual kanji would help.

according to this website http://kanjidict.com/demo/9b3c.html
鬼 is ghost, also devil. it's similar to what you posted, maybe they just screwed it up.

I don't know this kanji.
Maybe this kanji is not Japanese.

I think ghost is 幽霊(Yuurei).

I still think what I said is correct. It looks like they were close, but messed up. Maybe (hopefully) I am wrong.

looks like your friend got himself a really 'unique' tattoo there...
as for me, I cannot find a similar kanji or hanzi in neither my japanese nor my chinese dictionary.
To me it seems that either the tattooguy screwed it up royally or the symbol is made up.
