I was just wondering if anyone but me loved the band. I listen to it around 70% of the time I listen to music. There isn't a song I don't like and I'm sure there never will be if they make future releases. So is anyone a fan?

I like them. I saw them live last year, when they came to Merriweather in Maryland. Not the best preformers, but the music was good.

I'm a fan of HIM, however there is one element to their songs that bothers me just a tad. It's their obsession with using the same lyrics over and over again (the lead singer has a tendency to say "honey" or "baby" like a billion times in nearly every song) and the way every song is basically saying the same thing just with different wording.

But I am still a big fan and love their music a lot in spite of those things.

HIM! *insert heart-o-gram*

I pretty much despise HIM. And someone already said half the reason why.

And while it might bother her just a tad, it annoys the HELL out of me. It's incredibly boring to hear how "love is poison", "love is a sacrament", "love is death", and "love and razors" over and over again. Doesn't Valo have better writing skills than this? And not to mention the guitar riffs and sounds are all the same on every single song I've heard. Boring.

Now, I will say that Ville Valo has a decent voice. It's not horrible by any means.

But we can't forget how 'cool' it is to like HIM. I'm not one to care what other people like, but when a band becomes more of a brand, then something's up.

And also...walk into Hot Topic and gaze at all the HIM merchandise - It's enough to drown you. Do people really need a HIM comforter?!

Not to mention there's tons of better music out there. Tons.

It's all of these things combined that makes me feel like mauling someone whenever I see that stupid heart pentagram.

To each his own I guess, but I always look at the messages of all the songs. Yes it is the same message for all the songs but it's still a good and true one, "Love will undeniably kill you, but you'll still want to have it..."

Well... It's written HIM, no dots anymore. And they also left the "His Infernal Majesty" at that point. So now they're called HIM, it's not short for anything anymore.

I really like the band. Their music is good and Ville has a brilliant vocal. But he prob won't have that vocie for a long time considering the fact that he smokes 60 each day. I like their "Razorblade Romance" album the most. It has their best songs and it was with this album I discovered HIM about 6 years ago.

Favorite song is either "Heaven Tonight", "The Funeral Of Hearts" or "Poison Girl".
Think the new album, "Venus Doom", will be great.
And I can't wait to see them warm up for Metallica 10. July here although they don't really fit warming up for Metallica.

Love is really whatever you make it out to be.
And...that's a nice message (I guess) but I like music that talks about different things and not just one subject. Makes the artist appear untalented and quite frankly, it bores me.

I do like that Heaven Tonight song though. Kind of cheesy, but cheesy is nice every once in a while.
