Hi, I never knew you are Filipina like me also. I never knew you liked pangya also. I have Hana, Kooh and Arin. I'm Beginner B and I don't have any trophies. Plus I don't know how to do the tomahawk and cobra.

I haven't been on much because the US client kept on locking up while I was playing, I haven't played on my EU account since there's hardly anyone on when I'm there and my JP account is now inaccessible since they did something server end and now I can't connect to the login server or they mucked up the client with the last update since my computer locks up whenever I try to log in (and I was looking forward to playing on ice spa too)

I'm in the same boat as kurumirina here since everytime I log in none of the guild members in my friends list ain't there so I just quit.
Although I have to give some bad news (it has been known for sometime but this is just in case nobody here knows about it) that pangya japan is now blocked to all foreign users (although there is a note in the A18 myspace blog that'll brighten things up a bit)

It wouldn't be a bad idea to revive the Kiseki club xD Even more of a reason now that S3 is close ^_^;;

And here ...

And now S3 is going to go fully live in about 4 hours time (all will have to download the S3 full client (the beta version won't work) since the S2 client won't be updated to S3)

I started playing this over 2 years ago, and I was pretty good at the time. I tried to get back into it earlier this year and found a lot has changed since 2 years ago. I was having trouble hitting Pangya too. I used to have a solid 45% accuracy, which was actually probably around 60% at my peak, because the 45% included my newbie days' percentage.

I might consider playing again but it's too time consuming heheh.

And here's a screenshot of my first HIO ever.
http://ourworld.cs.com/TaCkiboi/HIO.jpg
Actually I got lucky on that one. Although I was really trying to get a HIO, I didn't know yet how to play 8M winds properly at the time. So I just hit it low and to the right of the pin. It bounced once on the green and popped into the hole. This was on the 2nd hole of North Wiz. I got another HIO the next day or the day after, and that time I really did it on purpose. But I didn't get to save the screenshot.

I'd say my specialty, though, was doing chip ins and especially beam impacts. I played low-exp courses like North Wiz because I was playing for the cash, and beam impacts (and long chip ins) were an awesome way to get Pang.

Wow, an MMO based on golf? That's something new...is it worth playing?

Actually there's quite a few MMOs on golf now. There's also Shot Online (http://shotonline.gpotato.com), which is a lot harder.

I do highly recommend PangYa (http://www.albatross18.com) though, if you're interested in golf at all, or you just wanna play a game where you can hang out with friends or meet new ones. The thing about PangYa is that you can play it anyway you want. If you wanna be competitive and swing with the best of them, go ahead. If you wanna just play with your family or a buddy that's come over to your house for a couple of laughs, that can happen too. It can be a really stress-relieving game.

Now comparably, PangYa is rather easy. Consider it as an arcade version of golf. It's so easy that if you really get used to it, you can be hitting hole-in-ones in every par 3 course. I met somebody that can do that. It was insane. I stopped clapping for him after his 3rd straight HIO, since it was obvious it wasn't much effort for him. o_o It's like clapping at me for teeing off.

You also get a lot of trick shots, which you obviously can't do in real golf. One of the most common and popular trick shots is the Tomahawk (or Toma, as we call it). You literally blast the ball for greater distance, but when it lands it explodes and kinda digs into wherever it lands. It'll prevent it from rolling in any direction unless the plane it lands on is steep enough. This is perfect for precision placement of the ball. Like you need it to land exactly on a small strip of green or something, or you're actually trying to hit the hole itself with the ball (I do it from long chip ins. It's fun to watch!).

Ahaha talking about this stuff makes me want to go back and play. o_o

But anyway yeah go ahead and play it. It's certainly worth playing if you're looking for a game to kill time with. It's also free forever, so you won't have lost anything but time if you decide start playing. It goes by an item mall system, but none of the item mall items except clubs are really necessary. You can, with great effort and patience, get stuff that's similar to (or even better than) the stuff you can buy from the item mall.

P.S.: Actually the item mall clubs are pretty terrible if you ask me. Only for experts, because they greatly exchange accuracy for power.

Thanks for telling me this! I'm just going to wait until i get a computer that doesn't die after an hour of playing and then I'll check it out!

Well, item mall clubs are mostly good due to their control ... which most pang clubs are lacking. But then, also most of pang clubs have better spin/accuracy or maybe some other attributes than the item mall ones.

Oh yeah, videos of special shots, if anyone is interested ^_^;
Tomahawk and Cobra shots

Spike shot

Oh, what's new in S3 is also the double power shots (aka combo power shots), here, an example of Power spike shot
http://youtube.com/watch?v=attNGoVPnqI
Combo PS uses 2 PS slots, and flies 20y more than normal shots (10y more than a normal power shot)

Oh good they have new clubs then. When I was playing, they only had the regular clubs, the crazy medieval weapons clubs (high power low control/accuracy) and the one that got phased out, which was based on household goods. IIRC it had a toilet plunger, which was hilarious. I think it had high control and low accuracy, or something. I just know they weren't too popular either.

I tried playing this, reminded me of Hot Shots Golf. A lot.

Not bad, except that somehow it caused my graphics card to, like, explode and forced my computer to restart.

I've played WoW, which is more taxing, and FlyFF, which is about the same, without problems like that.

I REFUSE TO PLAY THIS GAME ANY FURTHER.

lol

It's okay. Hot Shots is a better game anyway, in terms of golfing itself. The only reason to play PangYa for me is the cute graphics.

Weird about it causing your video card to explode though. o_O It's not a very graphics-heavy game at all. I was playing it years ago on my old computer that had like a 64 MB video card, with no noticeable lag. Even when I upgraded to a better PC, the performance boost wasn't all that big (it just loads faster, but no noticeable graphical improvements).
