-ok-
Has there been anytime that you almost died or got really close? Casual moments that you don't really realize what the consequence could have been until later?
I'll give an example:
One time I was about to cross the street and I wasn't paying attention until someone walking with me grabbed my arm and called my name right when a car (that was driving fast) drove by. If my friend hadn't been there I might have died.
-or-
I was getting toast out of my toaster, but the toast was hot so I decided to use a fork to get it out and, right before I stuck the fork in, my cousin stopped me and told me I could get electrocuted. I don't know if that would have killed me but it probably would have hurt. ^ ^;
I tend to have a lot of those moments
-anyway-
now it's your turn

Yeah, I tend to have alot of those moments...Car crashes, knife wounds close to important areas that could kill you, falling from really high tree's and houses...or just being plain threatened by someone dangerous with a gun trying to rob some stupid store...

There was the time I fell out of a tree and knocked my two front teeth on a metal pole sticking out of the ground. The doctors tell me if I had opened my mouth any wider, the pole would have went straight through my head.
Then the time I thought i knew how to swim, so I jumped into the 6 foot deep pool and almost drowned.
Then the time I tripped while running from a dog, and if I hadn't thrown my hands in front of my face, I would have cracked my skull on the concrete and probably died.
Things like that? =D

I don't remember the first one because I was like 3 years old... but I was playing at a well and I was trying to get into it. My parents just heard me screaming "huu kal" ( a 3 years-olds german for "cold"). For some reason it looked like I climbed into it legs first so that saved me... but this hole was really deep and it was autumn so the water was cold.
I don't remember everything about the incident but the last time I talked to my parents about that day I realized that they get really scared when they remember... my mum turns white like ash and my dad seems to have problems to swallow (he hardly shows emotions). So I realized that if I had died that die my parents could probably never forgive themselves...
The other occasions I can think of are mostly when I was driving my motorcycle...there were some moments when I just missed an accident by an inch. And the thing is, even if it's not your fault...on a motorcycle you always pay the higher price.
If I would die in a motorcycle accident my parents would never allow my younger brothers to get a motorcycle license with 16 and would probably get overprotective in every way about my brothers. So everyone would suffer because I either was stupid myself or got killed because somebody else was.
So the consequences of my death would be worse for everybody else than for me, just imagine being your parents and your child gets killed... wouldn't you blame yourself?

iv bled pretty badly before but nothing close to fatal i guess but i got stitches in my face for it(long time ago)
um..
and besides speeding lacrosse balls and some of our beastly defensemen i cant really think of anything recent
most of my death defying was done when i was really young its hard to bring up specifics, just a dog once when i was about 2 feet tall, a snake, a few more snakes, jumping around with sharp objects... throwing sticks into bees nest( see, i got stung and i used to have alot of pride issues when i was 3<O.O) spiders
oh yeah and i sucked the codeine off of my grandpas pills once and had my stomach pumped i think i was 2, and around that time there were multiple barbie shoes and coins that went along the same lines
and i got into the car and turned it on and almost ran into the house when i was either 3 or 4
oh and mr hat and clogs person its a >well< your thinking of

I had an accident two years ago but it wasn't that bad, considering I know that we're going to crash anyway. My father was driving the car slowly and he didn't look in front, just looking sideways cursing the driver who went the other. But my father was driving slowly so the crash wasn't bad. And I know what was coming. I guess it could've been worse if I wasn't aware of anything. Glad it's not fatal...

When I was six or seven my dad took us to the pool. I got this brilliant idea to jump into my float-ring head first. Now being five or six I had no way of that due to the nature of floatation devices, I would not be able to flip myself back upright (with my head above the water instead of under it). If my dad hadn't jumped in and turned me over, I would have drowned... Illustrations!!!!
