Are there any Dark Tranquillity fans out there?

What is your favourite album?

My favourite album is Damage Done but I am waiting for their latest album "Fiction" to be released this month.

Honestly I have no idea what they are like or anything about them. I think you should post more information about them, like they type of genre or their sound. I will give them a chance though, since from what I can tell you have a great sense in music.

EDIT: Now with the newly gained information I am very eager to check them out

Dark Tranquillity formed in 1989 and hail from Sweden. They are one of the pioneers of the Gothenburg Metal sound; Melodic Death Metal. Out of the creators of this genre, (Carcass, At The Gates and In Flames) D.T continue to write excellent Melo Death albums and have not changed their characteristic sound.

If you like Arch Enemy, you will love Dark Tranquillity. Nowadays, thousands of bands from all over the world play Melodic Death Metal so it is always a good thing to check out the creators.

NOTE : Just to be fair, Michael Amott who is the lead guitarist and founder of Arch Enemy played in Carcass. The 1993 "Heartwork" was the first Melodic Death record, but it was not until 1995 with the release of "The Gallery" by Dark Tranquillity, did this genre take off.

I really love DT, favorite meoldeath/Gothenburg metal band.
My favorite album is "Projector" because it has a lot more opera vocals than their other albums.
And Stanne pulls that off so damn great.
It sounds so mighty.
