I'm going to look like a major noob when I ask this but, how do people create the anime pictures that are all around this site.
For instance, what programs do people use, and such.
I know how to draw it, with a pen and paper...but now I want to try and create the types of pictures on this site.

Ok, I'll be able to help you if you clarify your answer. If you mean like a signature, avatar, or wallpaper, then most people use Photoshop but thats an expensive program and if you don't want to spend much (or any) money then GIMP is a great program. Its free and you can download it. If you have more specific questions, feel free to PM me.

I was thinking hmm not wall papers and not avatars.
Bleh I dont know what they're really called.
I guess just normal anime pics?
Like ones with couples etc.
and I have photoshop cs2 >.>

If you're talking about the images you find mostly in Fanart there is a thread about ways to color digitally. It's started by Ashurii I believe.

If you're talking about graphics people use programs like Photoshop to manipulate the images. The best bet would be to take a look at some of the tutorials that are written in the forums on how best to manipulate a graphic.

Art though Ashurii asked and there is a good discussion in that thread about tricks and tools used to color.

Anyway, you can dl it here
GIMP (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html)
you need to install/run the "GTK+ 2 for Windows (version 2.4.14)" before installing Gimp.
Anyway, the FAQ (LINK (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/faq.html)) saves your day ^_^

it's so confusing
and im learning how to skin on it for a video game...
but anime is so much better :P
