Magical Girls/Magical Boys

In every magical shows do you think they put girls mostly in them or boys, i'd say they mostly put girls in the magic shows.

Yes, girls are more recongized in the "Magical Girl" genre ... why does it have the word "girl" in the genre title then? <.< Guys are usually seen in all other genres, but I don't mind them being in this genre, too. =D

I'd say it is right along these lines. Take for instance The Power Rangers (aka. Super Sentai) which I would say is fairly akin to the setup of Sailor Moon (very similar in fact); but almost nobody would refer to The Power Rangers as being in the Magic Boy genre, instead it would get placed into the action or superhero genre.

So I really think it is just that many titles which could be placed under the Magic Boy genre are geared more towards a male audience and thus are usually considered to be in one of the common male genres.

Ehhhh...not as how I think of it, really. Magical boys transform and fight evil by throwing powers at them. XD

Magic is typically seen with girls more than it is with boys. There are shows out there that does have magic guys, but guys are more seen as superheros with weapons. The magic just seems to fit girls better than it does guys and it seems to show.

Migical girls would go with something like sailor moon or cardcaptors, I just wouldn't understand anything with magical boys.
