No this is not a word game so do not get your hopes up

This is a reminder to everyone that one word replies are frowned on and are against our rules. There seems to be more and more one word replies showing up. They will be deleted as they are found in the topics. If all you can think of is a one word reply to a topic, then you obviously don't really have any input to add, so why post?

But I believe that band named game thread will be exception?
Since there really is not reason to put more words into reply...

But when someone asks only a yes or no question... and doesn't tell you to tell more, you should only give a yes or no response.

And I suppose that it wont be...
But everything is possible...

Yes or no threads are closed as soon as they are found. We also don't allow threads that illicit one word replys with no thought. We want threads that provoke at least SOME brain activity.

Band name game is not in this forum. Any questions regarding that should be directed towards Myrra.

I totaly agree,I mean why would anyone post a thread with questions such as for example:do you like your dog etc.

As for band named named game-I forgot that this thread is just for miscellaneous forum,sumimasen...

But everything is possible...Well, the best example I can think of is the dreaded "Is god real?" Threads. Most of the time you're going to have those people that say, "hes fake/real", and add nothing to it.

Actually they are threads that if you read the post it says to "Discuss" your theory behind it.

It's not for one word replies.

As Minako said one word reply threads are closed as soon as they are found. So then If you see a one word reply thread that isn't closed you can report it and let the Moderators handle it from there.

Well yeah,I suppose...
But...I dont want to insult anyone,but why would anyone ask something like that...
It's just too immature and sounds quite stupid(no offense everyone)...

I see...I was wrong then for God threads...

LPS Edit - This is not to discuss the pressence of 'God' or the discussion of his existence, this thread is a notice and reminder that one word replies are not permitted. Please do not begin a discussion of that nature here.

Hamahimura edit:I'm sorry...I didnt wanted to start that...

What about threads such as 'what is your hair colour' or 'where do you live' etc what about these?

Well,at least you can try not to post with only one word...
For example:
Q:what's your hair color
A:black===>wrong!
A:my hair color is black===>better
Still,my opinion is that those kind of threads are just waste of time(no offense everyone)

And yes there have been threads like that, and some people discuss it a bit, and some just respond! So sorry for bringing it up. Goodness... >_<

I have to agree with the majority here. But we must also remember, we do have some members that are of a considerablely young age. And their replies may be somewhat brief.
Now I'm not saying we should be nice to them just cause they don't know better. I just think we need to take extra special care in warning them. It doesn't help to lecture them when they only understand half of what's said. I'm sure they can get the idea with proper guidance. And the biggest goal is to conduct a smooth, intelligent, and yet fun environment for the members, one and all.

EDIT: (reply to Bean's post below this one)
True, true. I stand corrected, and thank you for pointing that out. No wonder I prefer to sit back and leave such important work in the capable hands of people like you Bean. I have no problem helping when asked, but I'll leave the real work to you guys.

Were not lecturing them, nor are we giving them warns. We are reminding them that we will delete one word replies. Now granted if they use one word replies constantly, then we will have to do something with them one on one. They can think of this as a reminder of the rules because we do realize most do not read the rules because they feel they are boring.

So all is good as long as they do not push the issue.
