What does Valentines day mean to you?

I know theres a thread involving V-day, but this is different!

What does this holiday mean to you?
Is it just a day to brood over being single? (or maybe rejoice that you're single)
Is it just another excuss to get chocolate?
Do you love it and go all out and hand out Valentines to everyone?
Is it a dumb waste of time?


As for me I don't really know, to me I guess its just a special day to celebrate being with yo' sweetie.

-_- personally, this holiday ticks me off. There are all my friends who aren't single, and I am, and they are with their boyfriend or girlfriend, and they are all like, "aww I love you," and they hug them, and then I'm like "aww, I love you" and hug the wall or something.

It's kind of a bother. I'm single. My freinds (most of them) are not. Watching my freinds making out in the hallways is disturbing. But I guess the holiday is nice for couples and I'm happy for them if I don't see them making out in front of me.

Quite honestly, its just an excuse for your local stores to get a profit on candy items and raise the price for three weeks. Valentine's Day really doesn't mean anything to me now, but I can't say it won't be something for me in the future, as I am only 12, too young for a "special" someone.

Sometimes I thank god I go to an all boys school. But that's only about 1/365th of the time. On this day, we get none of that openly. Because if the girls actually WERE there then it'd be something annoying, but since they're not it'll just be like "So hopefully I'll get lucky with my girl"

It's usually those two (though, it is a good excuse for dumping a box of chocolates down my pie-hole <3). But, like I said in that other thread, there is one girl that sort of makes me want to partake is Valentine's Day. Actually, we agreed to both do homemade Valentine's Day cards for each other. You know, with pens, pencils, markers, construction paper, and things of that nature. She thought it was such a cute idea, and I think it is, too! So *sigh* I guess I have a little something to do on Valentine's Day...and someone to look forward to. Crud! >_<
