Any fans here on AF?

I think they are an excellent band.

My favourite songs are:
In Death's Embrace.
Kings Of The Carnival Creation.
Progenies Of the Great Apocalypse.
Yeah and others...

What does everyone else think?

Oh yes, they're excellent indeed!
Hopefully I'll see them live in April (if they come to Inferno that is).
I've been fan for some years, love most of their work. I've met Silenoz, nice guy.
Met him in Oslo some years ago :3

Excellent guitar players and the growls of Shagrath are beautiful and ofc the fantastic opera'ish backing of ICS Vortex (although I prefer him in Arcturus).
The drumming has been so-so since it's been a lot of swapping there, but Hellhammer does a great job (as always) on the new "Stormblåst" (although I don't really care for this release since I find the original near perfect). Nicholas Barker was okey, but I didn't care for him a lot.
Really liked Tjodalv though, he's turned out great together with Susperia.

What really makes Dimmu stand out for me is the symphonic part.
It fits their sound, it pushes up their music.

Never will any of their albums beat the memorable "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant".
It has some of the greatest songs by them, and the symphonic is on top.
This album is so far more complex and overpowered than the others.
But I have to say that the original "Stormblåst" is almost just as good.

I'm waiting in excitement for "In Sorte Diaboli".
Dimmu with a concept album, Silenoz will really be able to show off his writing abillities for sure.
I was so happy when I noticed he he wrote some songs in Norwegian for "Death Cult Armageddon".

Well... My favorite songs must be:
Mourning Palace
The Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse
Antikrist*
Dødsferd*
Dreamside Dominions
Vredesbyrd
Allehelgens Død I Helveds Rike
In Death's Embrace
Spellbound (By The Devil)
Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen*
Sorgens Kammer*
Kings Of The Carnival Creation
