I'm having trouble translating this phrase.

A character is walking through a spooky forest and says this.

こういうのって、心が細やかで、想像力が豊かなほど、応えるのよね。

In cases like this, having ???, and lots of imagination (overactive imagination?) can get scared more easily.

My friend says it's something like "being honest to one's heart" or "mind all of the tiny things" but I don't quite get it... Any idea what would work here?

「心が細やか」 can be translated as the "tender hearted"

"In cases like this, the more tender hearted and imaginative you are... etc

mmm how's that?
