I don't mean if you know her personally cause technically she's already dead. It amazes me when someone says that they don't know who she is. She was one of the best mexican singers of her time!! Please tell me more people know who she is.

I know of her, and thats just by watching her biography on tv. Oh yeah if it counts I saw the movie that was base on her life.

I know who she is, but truthfully, I didn't find all those biographies interesting. She didn't contribute to history in any way.

I have the movie on her, and my mother liked her alot, so I know a little bit about her, I guess.

I know who she is, I had to do an essay about her >_-, seen the movie based on her life; didn't like it. She had a great voice and was a role model to many young hispanic girls. Such a tragic way she died tho.

Jennifer Lopez played the part of Selena. A PUERTO RICAN got a MEXICAN role? That's disgusting! Anyway..

I'm mexican, yes I've heard of it, I *do* live in Texas, but not at the time she was alive, I was in California, but, I live about 40 minutes away from Gatesville Prison (where her killer is at), a friend of mine that worked there told me Yolanda is like.. Mentally unstable.. Like she talks to herself and whatnot.. o_0

She's still La Reina de Tejano to me!
I was lucky to see her live twice, once in Corpus Christi and at the Astrodome for her last performance...

I still miss her and her music...

she was one of the first well known and accepted women of tejano music. Most of the bios are off on them a bit and exaggarate but all-in-all are basicaly correct. she was also one one of my favorite singers in spainsh. her brother is still alive and is making music

yea, she was a mexican singer .. some idiot killed her back in 1995.

I saw the movie on Tv a bunch of times, it's really sad.

But yea, I like her music.

I still miss her and her music...You got to see her live!! Twice! That is so not fair. Although I was only about 3 when she died so that sucks. But still not fair.:(

isnt it that guy from the kumbia kings?yeah. they are actully pretty good. in the beginnig of one of their cd's he has a voice over sayin who he is and how he is related to her
