I can distinctly remember three anime girls that left an impression on me:

1. Major Motoko Kusanagi (GitS) - Her ability to command a team of elite fighters and keep everything in check is awesome.

2. Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach) - Thus far, I like Rukia because she is not the cliche-type leading lady. True, she's a little miss soldier type, but she is very different from all anime girls I've seen so far. And, she doesn't have the generic sexy body that most leading ladies have.

3. Temari (Naruto) - Despite the rampant cliche female characters in Naruto, Temari is a breath of fresh air.
