**RPG based on Fatal Frame 3: The Tourmented**





History of RP:

In a secluded mountain area, there laid a manor owned by the Kuze family. In this manor, a ritual took place, the Tattoo ritual, which involved the Tattooed Shrine Maiden. It is said that dreams of lost loved ones cause ill to the world, and only the shrine maiden can prevent that ill from coming. People come and give their pain to the shrine maiden by having the ‘engravers’ tattoo her with a snake and holly. She is then sent to the Hanging Prison where she lays with the Holy Mirror. The mirror is her love, which she must shatter (by looking into it), and sever all ties to this world. She is then moved to the Thorn Shrine, where she is nailed into place, by the four pacifiers, should she stir from her eternal sleep. Before the ritual could commence, the priestess witness her lover’s death, causing the ritual to fail and spreading ill upon the manor.

It is said that many have had a dream of entering the manor, the Manor of Sleep, after loosing a loved one. The dream consumes them, and after a few months they turn to ash. It is also said that to follow the dead inside, is to give up your life. Is there a way to survive? How do you escape your worst nightmare?

Name: Reiko Kuze (Tattooed Shrine Maiden)

Age: About 18 before her death

Gender: Female

Appearance: Long, black hair. Is covered in an indigo tattoo of a snake and holly.

Special Ability: Can walk through walls, teleport at random.

Bio: Reiko agreed to be adopted by the Kuze family and be made the Tattoo Shrine Maiden. She was about to perform the breaking of the Holy Mirror when one of the pacifiers snuck in her lover Kaname. The tattoo spread into her eyes (which would cause all the pain engraved onto her body to be released back into the world). The head of the Kuze family killed Kaname. Reiko (knowing the consequences) looked into the Holy Mirror which spread ill unto the manor.



Name: Hiasame Kuze

Age: 11

Gender: female

Appearance: Long black hair, wears a shrine maiden outfit of white and red. She carries a hammer and spike.

Special abilities: Walk through walls, teleport, uses spike and hammer to attack.

Bio: Hiasame is the eldest of the pacifiers and represents the North. She was the last to be adopted and has her own room full of red dolls.



Name: Shigure Kuze

Age: 10

Gender: female

Appearance: Has short hair that is partially pinned back. Wears a shrine maiden’s outfit of white and red. Also carries a hammer and spike.

Special Abilities: “See Hiasame Kuze”

Bio: Shigure was also adopted by the Kuze family in order to be a pacifier. She was the second to be adopted and represents the East. She also has her own room full of red dolls.



Name: Minamo Kuze

Age: 9

Gender: female

Appearance: Has short hair with hair clips on both sides. Wears a shrine maiden’s outfit of white and red, carries hammer and spike.

Special Abilities: “See Hiasame Kuze”

Bio: Minamo was the first to be adopted into the Kuze family in order to be a pacifier. She represents the West and has her own room filled with red dolls.



Name: Amane Kuze

Age: 8

Gender: female

Appearance: Has medium length hair that is tied back in pigtails. Wears a shrine maiden’s outfit of white and red.

Special Abilities: can walk through walls, teleport.

Bio: Amane is the only pacifier born into the Kuze family. She was told by her mother that she had a half brother named Kaname. Her mother sent him away because men weren’t allowed into the manor (only selected men are allowed in to reproduce with the women in the manor, and are then cast out). She felt bad for Kaname not being able to see Reiko, so she snuck him into the Hanging Prison. Kaname was killed on site. Amane was later nailed down by the other pacifiers and died. She represents the South and has her own room filled with red dolls. She usually helps the living who wander the manor.

**NOTE: Only I will be playing ghost roles. You MUST start in the Manor as a MORTAL HUMAN. If youd like, start off normal and then PM me if you wish to die and become a ghost. But you MUST PM me first.**
*There will be other ghosts (needle woman, Kuze family head, etc) however, they wont have a major role in the RPG, therefore they have no character sheets.*

Appearance: Medium length Red Hair with a long length ponytail. He also has a short length red beard. Usually wears a green sweat shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and a pair of denim jeans.
Special Ability: Can see blurred images of spirits.
Bio: A few years ago, Ryu and his wife were driving home from dinner with friends and family when another car hit them. Ryu escaped with a few minor injuries, but his wife was less fortunate. Ever since, he has not been able to get over the loss of his wife. One particular night, instead of having a normal dream, He ended up at the Manor of Sleep, where upon arriving, he saw a glimpse of his wife...
Reason for entering: He hopes to find out why he saw his wife here.

Also, the Manor of Sleep is well...located in your dreams. The manor appears to you after the loss of a loved one, whos soul is now trapped inside the manor.

Bio: She was living at home with her husband (Seiko) when a horrible illness took him form her. She found the masion in her dreams and surprisingly she saw flitting images of her husband Seiko. She was entranced and followed him deeper in.
Reason For Entering The Masion: She hoped to find Seiko and live with him. She is heartbroken now

Name: Mitchell Preston

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall/average height, black hair, brown eyes. He has a series of burn scars going up to his shoulder

Special Ability: Pyrokinesis and weak telepathy.

Bio: Mitchell led a normal life, aside from being a pyrokinetic. When he was little, he accidentally burned himself up to the shoulder, which scarred him against using his ability. He Janice, the woman he loved. However, she was shot in a bank heist. Not only that, but the killer got off easy. This infuriated Mitchell so much he nearly burned the apartment complex he lived in to the ground. He rented a small house in the country, and stocked it with fire exinguishers. However, he didn't know that the house had a long history of tragedy and rituals, and that history would intensify his telepathic ability.

Reason for entering the manor: Curiosity about what the building in his dreams is.

General info: all rpgers will be able to see and hear the ghosts...since its a dream. Any additional "sixth sense" you can think of is (in most cases) welcomed. The manor is like a mansion. It consists of three floors and over 80 rooms. Again, I'll see if I can get a good map to post...

Name: Tohyo Umeko

Age: 22

Gender: female

Appearance: Tohyo's eyes are an amber color, cleary vissible because of the mascara over her eyes. Her hair is a shining purple one, held together by a black ribon, weaved over her head and tied to the back. A short, but frilly black dress coveres her upper body while purple black striped stockings and boots cover her lower half.

Special Ability: Levitation, low-grade Umbrakinesis (abillity to manipulate darkness) limited to shadow walking.

Bio: A dark person. She's a gothic, after all, and tends to stick to the stereotypicall view of them. She smiles and laughs like everyone else, just with a bit more of a dark ring to it. She's also very manipulative, so one can never be to sure what side of a conflict she is on. Her shadow abilities allow her to stay out of public view, someting she prefers. After having lost a close friend of hers in a freak construction accident, the manor apeared in her dreams. Now, Tohyo always enjoyed dark legends and stories, and the one about the manor of sleep was icing on the cake.

Reason for entering the manor: Curiosity, she wishes to travel through the manor and see if all the stories she heard were reallity or fiction.

A few problems:
Only the ghosts can 'control' the darkness that takes place in the manor. Your other sixth sense is fine.
Also, you need to have lost a loved one to enter..its the only way to see the manor (which appears in your dreams).
Just tweek those a bit and you'll be good to go

Right, just one question, would a low-grade Umbrakinesis work? That would limit it to fading in the shadows and remaining undetected from the other visitors. Not ghosts, obviously.

Appearance: She has green eyes and long purple hair that goes across her back, it's wrapped up in a red ribbon her brother gave her. Her skin is a light tan, with a busty phique to match. Upon entering the mansion, she wears a light green sweater and a dark, blue skirt. On her feet are knee-high black boots.

Special Ability: can sense a person's feelings by touching their clothes. May speak with spirits.

Bio:When she was born she was diangosed with asthma, so she was sick all the time . Her big brother Hiro was looked after her and was very protectful of her. One day she and family were camping in a nearby forest as a family vacation, because Catherina suggested it. Soon as the sky was dark and the family was eating thier dinner rabid wolves attack their campsite. Her big brother and father tried to hold tthem off, by telling her and her mother to run ahead. By the next morning they never came back, both of them. Now she feels as though it's her fault their dead, because if she had never made them go they would have still been alive. Now she has dreams of this gigantic manor


Reason for entering the manor: She must be reunited with her big brother who perished.

Appearence: He has short white hair with blue eyes. He is 6'7, 195 pounds and light skinned. He wears a black raincoat with a red shirt and black pants. He also has a tattoo on his throat saying "Never Forget" on it.
Bio: Christopher was born into a loving family. His little sister and parents cared for him dearly. At the age of 6, his house was robbed at night. His parents and little sister were murdered, but he was still alive. This caused him to live on the streets. At the age of 13, he was arrested for robbing a grocery store and murdering a customer. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In prison, he found peace with himself and others, except for one person, the thief who murdered his family. He had the words "Never Forget" tattooed on his throat reminding him to avenge his family. At the age of 19, he escaped from prison bringing along 3 other inmates. This group was known as the Black Wolf Clan. Their main goal is to avenge the loss of his family. The Black Wolf Clan came across the Manor of Sleep. Christopher hopes this would give him some clues.
Reason for entering the manor: To find out who murdered his family.

Ok, let me re-explain. The manor of sleep is NOT an actual building. Its seen in your DREAMS, and DREAMS ONLY. You enter ALONE. Why are you there? Because someone you loved DIED. Please edit your character sheets to fit this.
You can encounter and team up with other characters after entering, but you first enter it alone.

Bio: Tai was young when her parents death by a plane crash ruined her life. Being on the same plane as her parents she blames herself for living while everyone around her died, but the crash had given her one weapon... the power of the mind. After the death of her parents nothing mattered except either bringing them back, or dieing to join them.

Reason for entering the manor: To bring back her parents or die trying.

Good side Ability: He is able to heal the injured
Evil: Amazing Speed and streagth with the ability to Shatter objects with his hands.

Bio: Life for Regal was tough...he was always picked on and no one talked to him, he was always a charming and caring boy but everyone looked at him differently...accept one her name was Tifa and she was the only one who knew him better then everyone else. She was sweet and eventually they both fell in love and spent every waking moment with each other. Tifa even got him to sign up for Martial art classes, Which when he did he took every class and mastered everything that had to do with Martial arts...after years of dating he asked her to marry him, Of course she said yes and planned right away...until one dreadful day, Tifa became ill from an unknown disease, Regal worked hard to find a cure but eventually Tifa died....After that Regal was givin an ability to Heal the injured and sick which he decided to find away to bring Tifa back...But with that it also created an alter ego Named Kon Genkido. Now this wasnt your typical Dark side...when Regal found out about him, Kon was also good only was evil. They both set out on a quest to find a way to bring Tifa back.

Reason for entering the manor: To try and bring Tifa back and cure The Disease So no one will suffer like he did

I dont mind the changing sides thing, but "blowing stuff up" is a bit much. Perhaps just shattering a few objects? Cause even though its a dream, the manor is old...so anything "blowing up" could destroy the manor...which would be bad.
Alos, just making sure you know that you can try to bring back the dead, but it wont work. The dead stay dead.
Just fix the exploasion thing and your good to go!

Bio: Julian was a born trouble maker, He had been suspended 24 times for fighting and was expelled from grade 10 for almost burning down the school. Everyone hated him, and he hated everyone. The teachers all saw him as a burden and had decided with the principal that he either must be transferred or expelled because of his behaviour. He acted this way ever since his older brother died, he used to be a happy kid but not anymore, until he met a girl while snowboarding down a mountain. She had made him wipe out, causing him to sprain his arm. She asked if he was okay and al he did was grunt, she giggled a little and walked away. He had seen her again while surfing, he surfing through a tube as she did behind him. He made it out but found that she didn't make it. Her board surfaced but she didn't so he dove in and found her sinking, grabbing her arm he brought her to the surface as the two gasped for air. He asked her name and she told him it was Katrina. They had started dating a month after and for their anniversery he brought her to the mountain where they first met. He was on a skilift behind her, her wanting to be on her own skilift. It was an eight foot drop, and right before his eyes he saw her fall off, landing okay she waved but then the skilift came dropping down on her. Blood was everywhere as his tears ran down his cheeks. He went down to the bottom, the ambulance came to take away the body. That was the last time he saw her, and was the last time he was happy. Later on he was in the basement reading a book when the lights shattered to bits. It was then he realized he could hear the voices of spirits and even see them. It freaked him out and all he wanted was to be back in the light but it was pure darkness. He felt a tight hold on his throat as he was lifted in the air. It was then he realized he could set the dead to rest for he had touched the spirits face with his palms and felt them burning as he heard the shrieks of the spirit, then it stopped, the lights went back on and there he saw the spirit being dragged through the gates of hell.

Special Ability: She can hear things that are said before they are actually said. So she can basically hear the future.

Bio: She grew up with six sisters. Her mother died giving birth to Raven (her youngest sister) and her father and her mother never actually married so everytime her mother had given birth and he actually saw the child, he took off. He was a married man so all of his children (including her) are love childern. She is a twin with Alexisis, however she is the eldest. When her mother passed away, her father had given them enough money to be lived upon. She had a nanny who passed away six months ago named: Ms. Smudge (as she called her. Her real name unknown). She has a dog named Puddles, and you can use your imagination to figure out why. Her sisters had depended on their nanny and Lakerra far too much and Lakky wanted to get as far as possible away from her father, who neglected them so. But before she took off her twin grew ill, and passed away two months after she had begun to grow ill.

Reason for entering the manor: To find her twin, Alexsis.

Well Shi, Id give you an approval but theres a change that needs to be made first. The person entering the manor has to be following someone dear to them who recently died. The manor is where the dead go, and the living follow the dead in. Perhaps your twin died and your following her? Thats all up to you, but someone has to recently have died and you need to follow them in.
