what are the 5 things you'd bring on a deserted island with you, and what would you miss the most? for me i would bring a labtop... a tiki hut (that's rain proof and lava proof) my cell phone,a charger...and...... ummm......... a orange julias resteraunt, i love their strawberry banana smoothies... *licks lips* yummmm.... i would miss.... umm....hmmm...my family, but i'd be able to see and talk to them through the camera built into the labtop! what would you bring?

Yep, I just need the essentials to survive. Cell phones, laptops, and Mp3 players are cool but they won't help you survive. Because you are on a deserted island. It won't have plugs, which you put the charger in which charges the electronics (generators don't go on forever, you'll need to refuel it also). Plus, I don't think you'll be able to survive on online food delivery forever 'cause sooner or later, you'll run out of money.

The question is kind of vague. I think what you're asking is that in the unfortunate chance that you somehow become stranded on a desert island what would you consider yourself fortunate to have, right? And while you're stranded on the island, what would you miss most? If you had a boat, plane, electricity, game console, etc. you wouldn't exactly be stranded; you'd be relocated to an island where you could live. Not that living on a private, modern island would be bad.

If I were REALISTICALLY stranded on an island, I would want to have a large, sharp tool like an AXE that could be used for digging, cutting, or breaking big things; a spool of thin, strong rope or FISHING TWINE for binding, sewing, and of course fishing; a box of matches or a FLINT AND STEEL set to make fire; a large amount of durable, insulating, and possibly waterproof material like a LARGE GORE_TEX blanket. And finally I would want to have a large supply of SIGNAL FLARES.

If I were ideally on an island, I would want a luxury liner, a generator, a satellite cell phone, plenty of fuel, and a satellite television.

In both cases I would miss civilization and just cotact with people in general.

I would bring a laptop to come back on here,a tv to watch anime,food and water ill need that to live,a girl that i can be with, and a back-up laptop just in case the first is broken by mistake and that way i can still get back on here yeah this site is great to me.

- Some sort of electrical generator that requires nothing more than pressing a nice big 'ON' button and leaving alone.
- A laptop with extremely strong wireless internet that can somehow connect right across the ocean. This would provide entertainment, information on survival and some sort of social interaction.
- A friend, to avoid the hallucinations and such that usually come with isolation.
- Seeds for whatever vegetables/fruits/grains can live on the island, along with gardening equipment.
- Multivitamin tablets, for while I'm wandering around nibbling on vegetation waiting for my seeds to grow.
