I would say hate-filled lyrics are much more damaging.

Bad language: Most kids know this by the time they're out of kindergarten, so I really don't see how it can make things worse.

Hate: You really can't alter ones personality; ones tendency towards hate. And trying to keep the phenomenon hate from children is like sweeping the problem under the rug: Even though you can't see it, it's still there.
