Question FFX: Dark Aeons

Is it really true that you can get the dark aeons on FFX?

The dark aeon on FFX is Anima, which looks like a giant fly trap plant. You get it by having every cloister of trials treasure save Bevelle. It's in the ruins you first see where Tidus was almost eaten by the fish, in which you have to fight before going into the temple. If you forgot to get the treasure using the destruct sphere in any of the temples save Bevelle, use the airship to revisit the temples and get the treasures. Note, this is not the treasures with the fayth, but the hidden treasure where you use the purple Destruct Sphere.

But, if you want to fight the Dark Aeons, in the US version that's the ending battle, or in International, Japanese, or European, one of those, it's Aeons you fight in certain places.

Dark Valefor - Return to Besaid, Summoner will block your path and summon.
Dark Ifrit - Return to Home, man will ask you to help find daughter, on the cliff.
Dark Ixion - Return to Thunder Plain, talk to soldier under lightning rod.
Dark Shiva - Return to Macalania Temple, Guado will summon.
Dark Bahamut - Return to Zanarkand Ruins, waits where Yunalesca was.
Dark Yojimbo - Return to Cavern of Stolen Fayth, teleport to the back and try to leave, summoner will summon.
Dark Anima - Return to Gagazet and redo Trial 1, Wakka's Ball Challege. D.Anima will be waiting at the gate of Mt. Gagazet.
Dark Magus Sisters - Return to Mih'hen Highroad and go north to Mushroom Rock. 2 Summoners will summon.
Penance - select from airship destination once all D.Aeons are dead.

If you acquire the PAL version (any non-US or original JP version), the dark aeons are there to be fought.
