This is my second poem and is a little better than my first (My Prison in the Mirror). The last line has a direct reference to my user name if you know what my User name means...

Welcome From the Twilight

Welcome to the Night
Welcome to the Stars
Welcome to the splendor
Of the darkness forever more

Welcome from the Nightingale
Welcome from the clouds
Welcome from the Black Leaves
That give you peace unparalleled

Welcome for the Moon to rise
Welcome for the Flies to glow
Welcome for the Black Velvet Curtain
To encompass the world in its loving bow

Carved with the many stars
That decorate the skies so blue
This sorrowed Sun is what the
Owl once again did slew

Sent from the darkest depths
Of the Raven’s peaceful slumber
The Snake rests with the Rabbit
In Silence oh so sweet and oh so somber

Scattered from the Abyss
and trembling with Pain, dismissed
The Night transcends the Loving Dance
Of the Garish Light and the Burning Sun

The Moon gives you the Guidance
Of which you do not need
For the Night brings Peace
From the deepest Pits of Hell
And the highest reaches of Heaven

Sacred is the Glowing Moon
Sacred are the Stars
Sacred is the Cradling Swoon
Of which begs for your daily Scars

Rest with the Raven
Rest with the Snake
Rest with the Rabbit
And for the Pain reeled in for the Rake
Made for the Leaves and the Grasses
Now Bathed in the Eternal Blanket
Of the pained Rains from Heaven

Now sleep you who are so troubled
Sleep for you are at Peace
And your Sorrows are far from Doubled
Sleep for your Soul is Halved
Halved so you cannot feel the Pain of Day

Goodnight from the Twilight’s Goddess…

If you read it tell me what you think!! BTW, as far as my user name, Yugure means Twilight.... This poem is sorta of like something you might read or at least think of before you go sleep. Well... just tell if I need some work or am I good! ^_^
