That really doesn't surprise me. Oxygen is actually rather popular. It's kind of like an energy drink. It's not uncommon for casinos to inject oxygen into Air Conditioners to keep gamblers awake and gambling.

That's because you just let an air bubble into your veins. And I beleve that an air bubble + the heart do not mix well...you inhale the stuff you know....

@Don - That's an urban legend.

Claim: Casinos pump extra oxygen onto the gaming floors during the early-morning hours to keep tired patrons from heading off to bed.

Status: False.

Lol inhaling oxygen, true too much can make you like dizzy or faint or just make you sick, but that's funny. I didn't read the whole thing but so I wonder how much the priced the cans for? PLus the oxygen could be dangerous, chemicals could've leaked in and you would be inhaling very bad chemicals and may die.

Status: False. I'm not saying like that. Pumping to much oxygen.
I'm talking about the cans. Something could leak in there. You know.

A new fad? maybe among the rich and those who are paranoid about thier health..... but otherwise I dont see it getting out of ontrol... although I see FBD's point. Too much oxygen can be bad for you. Pure oxygen as a matter of fact is poisonous to humans, thats why the air only contains 21% oxygen in it.

It's probably no more dangerous than crack, acid, ectacy etc. If you use it correctly then you won't be in too much danger.

@Phoenix: Only during long periods of time does it become toxic. In the short term, the human body has no problem with a high concentration of oxygen. In fact, exposure to elevated oxygen pressures can be used to treat some diseases.

*EDIT* Apparently breathing pure oxygen over a long period of time can cause serious lung irritation, and breathing pure oxygen at pressures greater than 1 atmosphere can cause fatal consequences.

I still think that this should be illegal to do. But its good that the idea is out there because if Humans cut down all the trees and forests we have a means of breathing still right.

Wow i already had one of those when i was living in Japan. Those cost alot probably cos i was from the north. I wouldnt use those too much cos its a waist of money, plus, Japan is already against pollution. The air over there are somehow fresh^^;
