I've seen a trailer for it, now I'm a big fan of the game series, but I just don't think I could stomach this movie. It looks absolutely horrible.

Are the people in it Japanese? I sure hope so, cuz' if their not then it would
totally kill the movie. Has anyone here play DOA 4 if so, tell me is a must have
game cuz' I already the ones for the Xbox.

Really? Gotta see it at some point... Although, based on my previous experiences of game-based movies I don't expect much. Especially based on these certain games.

Some of the characters are Japanese, some are chinese, and I think all of them are Americans. Last that I heard, Cory Yuen was the Director of this movie. NIce..... :)

Well I'm a big fan of the DOA seies, so it's difficult to say this, but I must state the obvious. The movie will most likely be horrible. Almost all games based on video games have been cliche, corny, sloppy, and rarely have they been well thought out or acted. They're really there for publicity, or as a quick way to make money. Notice how game based movies often share the same fate? Big summer blockbusters for about a month and forgotten mere weeks later. Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Doom, Bloodrayne, all terrible, all bombs. The hype really does overshadow the flimsy movies underneath. Now unless DOA pulls off some sort of box office miracle, the likes of which we've never seen before, it is destined to share the same fate as all the rest.

For some reason they're not....which I was kind of Dissapointed......ahaha it's interesting when I saw that Kevin Nash was the actor for Bass.....good reason because he's a wrestler and he can do the Jacknife Powerbomb like Bass. :lol:

Yeah. After seeing the trailer, probably not gonna like it. But heck, I wanna see it anyway. And it's not because of the ladies, mind you. I just like martial arts movies.

I saw the trailer some days ago. Movie looks terrible. Devon looks more like a bad Kasumi cosplay rather than really looking like her...

I just hope it's as cool as the game. :)... well I guess hoping wasn't good enough in this case, this doesn't live up to the games one bit, poor acting, poor scenes, even poorer trailer, poor attempt of making money using a group of females to lure in the young lonely male.

And this is comming from a huge DoA fan here...

On the plus side Kasumi will be a character in the new Smash Bro's Brawl for the Wii, some random DOA info there ^_^

And this movie looks like it's going to be crap.Whoa, that looks beyond corny....even for a video game based movie. I think it's been made clear by that trailer and most of the posters here that this is just another chance to prove how little thought actually goes into making these things.
