The character is a bit too washed out. I would bring out some more details in the drawing. For a good image editor, try Neat Image. It's freeware.

it´s way too blurry and for my taste it´s too bright
(not only because of the white but also because the
color of the chara and bg contrast very much, which makes it disturbing)
for the font, you could try some handwriting style or something

Contrast and saturation are way too high on the character; her colors are bleeding. Also, she's not sharp enough, especially when compared with the sharp detail on the background. It looks like the background is in focus, but she isn't.

I don't think the background's light blue color works, because that color doesn't appear anywhere in the character. Perhaps a light purple, similar to the one in the lollipop?

The font is dull. Papyrus is used everywhere. Do something interesting with the text - tilt it, smudge it, anything to make it less bland. Also, the kerning in 'Yo' and 'Pr' is terrible; you may have to adjust that by hand.
