I would have to disagree on that i own 2 godsmack cds faceless and their first one and all of their songs sound the same. I like stemm a whole lot better, their songs sound similar but the quality is just better over all.

Disturbed is an awesome band, they are not fruity whatsoever. Down With The Sickness is a cool song, but I think you all should really listen to soe of the other songs... its sees like no one has really heard any of the other songs. I don't really have a favorite song.... they are all awesome... the new cd rocks though if you havent heard it yet check it out.

Disturbed are a great band, several quality songs and Down With The Sickness is one of those favs of mine also. Though Prayer is probally my most fav song. I have two of their albums and both of them seem great.

As for Godsmack, they aren't so bad I like them, though don't listen to them much so can't really comment much about them but ok from what I've heard.

Blah, anyone is better than Slipknot, Slipknot is just a wannabe metal band =P I listen to more Spice Girls than Slipknot, it's just they are way to overated and people only associate them with being a 'heavy' band when they are far from it.

Get Disturbed Prayer Tsuna.. I recomend it. Disurbed are one of the few bands where their songs actually do have meaning, where the lyrics are good and they sound good also, a rare combination.

And yes Spice Girls are still pwning to this day <3

They're a nice "introduction to metal" type band, since they are neither very heavy and the vocal is easy to like (although you probably will be disapointed if you're expecting something advanced).

But it's a okey band.
I like their last album a lot.
But they are not very talented when it comes to playing and can David Draiman get anymore annoying?
As a person he's a moron, and his voice is so boring.
But he do write some good lyrics.

How come people think that "Down With The Sickness" is so good?
They have so many more better songs; "Voices","Stupify", "Prayer" and "I'm Alive".

I find Godsmack a lot better in all ways.
And KillerDragonX: "Psycho" is a System Of A Down song.

bumping a very dead topic. Why? Because I have just recently got into disturbed, very obsessively actually. So, I decided to give my insight into the band.

They are just really good musicians. I know, the drummer is no Mike Portnoy, Don Donegan isn't John Petrucci, and The bassist isn't John Myung but c'mon, they can write good songs. Very Good songs.

Back in the days of the Sickness they were really dark and trying Waaaaaay too hard to be goth or whatever it is these days. By Believe, they started getting out of that phase, and by 10,000 fists they got over themselves. I hold a great deal of respect for David Draiman. He's an awesome songwriter, and a great vocalist, in my opinion. He can do the screaming thing really well, and his growls? I love em. And, aside from all that, he's a very intellegent person. Watching him during live interviews is great. He's confident and carries himself very well. Most rockstars sound like this when interviewed "Well uh...yeah, it was like uh...great and awesome and stuff... and like...uh...well, It was a killer ******* time. uh...yeah" and sound like idiots. David Draiman almost never hesistates, and he says what he wants to say clearly, and intellegently. The best part about him is he doesn't sound like a douche while doing it, he sounds human. That is why I respect him greatly. And Don Donegan...what happened with him? Back in 2000 with the sickness he kind of sucked. Now, with 10,000 fists, he's just exploding. He's going into guitar solos, which is good because the concept of lead guitar is kind of dying.

Hmmm... Draiman is a intelligent person, but I think takes himself and his music to high.
As far as I know he loves himself and his music more than anything else.
And I feel that makes him a bit narrow and moronic, gives him a bit Fred Durst tendencies.

But as said earlier, "Ten Thousand Fists" is a pretty great album.
The two others are okey, but they get so repetetive. Almost every song starts the same way.
But Donegan as a guitarist... What's with the sudden solo attempts? It really doesn't fit Disturbed's monotone sound.

But Masali, what Draiman does is neither screaming nor growling.
Those meaningless grunts he makes are... just some Disturbed trademark thing.
If you really want to know growl and screaming I suggest some Opeth, Dark Tranquillity or Strapping Young Lad (with Devin Townsend which was lead singer on Steve Vai's "Sex and Religion").

After Dimebag Darell died, Donegan was crushed. Dimebag was one of Donegan's major influences so he thought, in memory of his death, he would start bringing lead guitar back. And I think Donegan's guitar solos fit well, especially in songs like stricken.

Draiman does take his music seriously, but he has a right too. With fred durst, his music had no feeling. Draiman is just...a great songwriter. I agree with the first two CD's being essentially the same, but they all had their great stuff. Alot of Chili Pepper stuff sounds the same, but that doesn't mean they're not good at all.

Disturbed is great.

David improved dramatically between "The Sickness" and "Ten Thousand Fists". He went from some sort of pyscho to a man with some good intentions, or a monster given feelings.

And I must agree, he's quite intelligent.

My favorite Disturbed songs are "Remember", "Liberate", "The Game", "Shout 2000", "Rise", "Prayer", "Stricken", "Land Of Confusion", "Stupify", "Just Stop", "Down With The Sickness", "Guarded" and "I'm Alive".

I kind of like Voices, but only because of it's sound. The lyrics are kind of disturbing if you get what he's saying.

Seriously, I hear one song and I gotta keep the vibe going. Favs are definitely The Game, Meaning of life, Stupify, Rise, and Voices. Stricken and Just Stop are not bad either.
