I prefer first/third person shooters, fighting, and stradegy games. Shooters and fighting games cause you have to keep thinking, and stradegy cause of the planning and tactics.

Personally I just find RPG's to be far too boring and slow paced to keep playing for long.

I hate Fantasy RPGs now since the stories are seriously quite dull. I find it hard to like a story that's more Rail Guided than Time Crisis. RPGs don't really offer anything enthralling anymore. It's all "This guy is the good guy. Why? Because we said so! No. You don't need to know WHY he's the good guy , all you have to do is like him/her and adore them."

Sidescrolling Shooters (GigaWing), Sidescrolling Beat-em ups( Double Riders, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtles in Time.), Rail Guided Shooters ( Lethal Enforces, Time Crisis), Tactical Simulation Games, (Risk, Advanced Wars.) MODERN RPGs ( Shadow Hearts.)

Out of all of them , Survival Horror. SANS Resident Evil, Resident Evil lost the Horror Title.. LONG ago, (You'll less ammo and guns in Texas. ) =/
Personally, HORROR games are the best type if you want something enjoyable. Just avoid any Resident Evil after 2, and Silent Hill 4.

RPG and Strategy... I love good deep storylines and loveable characters. The things I love most about anything (movies, books, mangas, tv shows, etc.) are the characters. I always get very attached to certain characters. I almost cried when I beat Disgaea : ( (one of the endings is pretty sad)... Oh yeah, and I also like those space shooter games, like Raiden or Ikaruga(haven't played Ikaruga yet but I really want to!)
