Weeeelll... I'm kinda proud of this one but wonder if it came out as good as I hope it did. First, the girl was taken from a doujin and I had to clean it up. A lot. Second, the background image was a stock photo of the ocean that I ran some filters through. Okay, what does it need?

I liked it. It was pretty good. I didn't like the sand color on the first one though...

the sand looks really plain. How about adding tuffs of grass or rocks?

I don't really think the colours go well together...

Anyone got some good filter suggestions or maybe some brush ideas?

Ya, it does seem rather plain. Clouds would definately be a good choice. Also the color of the sky is a bit dark and doesn't sit well with the chara. maybe try lighten-ing it up, that might work. Excellent job on the extraction and clean-up.

maybe a rock or a dolphin in the back of the ocean

Hmmmm, try to put shaded groves in the sand a bit, maybe some seashells

07-07-2005, 04:34 PM
It looks remarkably good; but it seems kinda empty. Maybe putting some font or another picture on left side of the girl.

May need to look smoother with the hair.

Also, it's bright out here, but it's not sunny. Maybe something to give the impression this is a sunny beach.

This beach also looks desolate, yet, the girl seems like she'd be on a beach full of life. Perhaps some sort of indication that there are indeed people other than her there.

I found them on a message board.
It's from an adult doujinshi that I came across while perusing.

And if you want the entire set- email me at [email protected]

ok, more exraction for the hair on the right:make a level mask on the sky and the sea(except sand)and make it more saturate and brighter, the seaa it's too dark green and the sky dark; you can add some sea stuff like umbrellas and so on, clouds and some sun rays...then I think that a diffuse glow would rocks ^^

07-11-2005, 07:36 PM
Yea, I agree. It's too....empty. Adding some shells/grass/shadows to the sand would help a lot. Also it looks like the sand has those diagonal lines on it that I get when I scan things >.> It's a bit distracting so you might want to fade those or get rid of them. Clouds would definitely be a good addition.

Well, I added some clouds, made the ocean more blue, but as for grass, seashells, or umbrellas, everything I've tried has looked real bad. Some images that wouldn't royally clash with the perspective would be a big help.

07-13-2005, 10:38 PM
Well it's an improvement that's for sure. Yea, I guess it's hard to fit things into the sand. Maybe just add some shadows?

I'm back! and its perfect!

Nice, but the sand area to the left still looks a little empty.

Good... but too bright. We vampires are not very fond of the light.

Maby add some waves cause the first 1 looks a bit plain

07-17-2005, 10:10 PM
I think it looks Great the way it is.

The clouds are boring and look like the cloud filter. I would recommend getting a brush or imposing some real cloud images onto the sky instead of using the filter.
