Pokemon vs Digimon

Hm ... probably digimon. They look stronger and use more or less energy powers, instead pokemons uses only natural powers. If we take a digimon's mega form and confront him with the last stage of the pokemon's evolution tree, the poor creature (pokemon) will be carbonised in an instant. The real match would only be between a rookie and the pokemon's last evolution stage and even in that case pokemons cannot stand the explosive power of energy force.

Pokemon or Digimon... The answer is quite simple: Pokemon.
Don't get me wrong, Digimon is cool, or rather, it was until Season Four arrived. Pokemon though, is timeless. I'm not talking about the show here, which is not as bad as many people think, and the movies are pretty cool. I am talking about the Pokemon Games, that is what sets Pokemon and Digimon apart. Now, I realize that is is an Anime Forum so you were probably referring to the Anime. Well, no matter. If Digimon were to have an actual decent RPG then yay! But alas, it has not happened. What I do like about Digimon though is that they do use weapons and such, plus some of them are freaking awesome. Weregarurumon anyone?

He is awesome! No Pokemon comes close to his level of mastery. Not to mention Angemon and Magna Angemon, they are cool too. However, Pokemon is not without it's cool cast. Zangoose, Mewtwo, and Blaziken are some of my favorites.

So while many Digimon themselves are clearly cooler than Pokemon, I say that Pokemon is superior.

I'd say Digimon. They seem smarter then Pokemon. Plus Digimon are way bigger... some of them even have guns/lazer cannons/swords.. O.o. Pokemon just ... crawl around the place. Heh, the Digimon would win. ^^

pokemon always win.. i mean take Dragonite or something... first thing is .. that they are already evolved.. meanwhile digimon have to go through that thing..digivolve or something... but pokemon always win. i mean mewtwo.. mew... those birds... plus... Ash wouldnt let anyone beat his almighty Pikachu.. (did anyone see the first movie? cos well... you will know what i am talking about) justAsh never loses.. and not to some Digimon things... but i'm biased..cos im a massive poke'mon fan.... you need someone who doesnt like the programs but knows them... someone who wont take sides.. then you can find out.. or get the animaters to draw some big dock of film.. I have seen a lot of both of them and sad as it may sound I didnt think they were too bad. I found that I liked pokemon as I was younger and digimon as I was older but with the added extra of the great games I have to say pokemon!

hey, a digimon RPG is a good idea: you travel aroung and fight for training and then get down all the bigger enimies. in the right performance it wouldnt be bad, but goddes not for GB(A) ! maybe they should bring one out for PS3 or XBOX 360 (i dont like nintendo revolution, if shall miss it) ......

Ahem! Sorry about that, it is just that you never said why you dislike the Revolution. I mean, you know next to nothing about it so how can you already have formed an opinion? Unless of course you are one of those "Killer Graphics Junkies"... Now that can't be it, because no true gamer cares so about graphics that they would overlook gameplay... Isn't that right, hkk?

At any rate, I believe a true Digimon RPG would be great on the GBA, or DS. None of that "Digimon World" nonsense...

Pokemon; while I do not have a love for either, Pokemon was around first. Plus, I hate to admit this, but I was quite the Pokemon fanatic in my younger days. How I regret those years wasting away, memorizing all of the Pokemon names and levels >.<

It's not really a fair fight when you think about it.

If you compare size, weight and elemental attributes. Digimon don't follow the typical " Water beats Fire and Water but loses to Lighting" rule.

To defend Digimon, it had a stronger storyline than Pokemon yet, thanks to our friends at whoever owns the rights to Digimon now you'll never a see a strong storyline unless your willing to dishout for a few fansubs, fan dubs or just learning japanese and paying for the episodes on DVD.

Pokemon won't ever have a character as sad and twisted as Oikawa. Which reminds me, they never bothered to do that whole " Transform into English" thing with the japanese names, which is why it got more respect.

If it was uncensored pokemon vs uncensored digimon, the Digital monsters would still be supreme.

I think that the Digimon would win - They can evolve into several creatures during the battle (ex: If Weregarurumon is losing [don't kill me! i'm just using him because he popped up earlier!] then he can change into...uhh...Metalgarurumon was it? >< can't remember, thus giving him MORE strenght, while the poor Pokemon stays at the same level...), most of the evolved forms have armor and/or weapons, which would really work in their advantage, as the armor would protect them from attacks by Pokemon, and the weaponry...well...need I explain? They have cannons, swords, laser beams, and whatever other funky things the designers came up with, while Pokemon have to use attacks from their attribute, and usually aren't able to learn attacks of other attributes (You can't teach a Blaziken how to use Ice Beam! etc) - So, if you have a Digimon with fire-proof armor, and you have a fire pokemon....well, you're screwed.
