LOL That is so true!!! I say American Muscle car all the way. Forget lowering the car so you can't even get over a speedbump, I say jack it up. Screw engines you can only put one or two performance parts on, go for the biggest, baddest engine with a supercharger that sits over the hood. Big fat ties, and FLAMES you have to have the flames painted on. Lots of chrome too. Hot rod oh ya baby!

They're suppost to be gas hogs, you can't get that much power without some sacrifices. I'll like the Mustang Mach 2 "Boss" because it was in one of my favorite animes, "Gun Smith Cats"

Oh jeez, i could go on for hours, but ill make it short. Anerican cars all the way, if theres one thing i cant stand its thinking someone is riding a dirtbike on a road and then seeing a honda. Theres just no engines that have been made that are superior than ones like the 454 big block or the new LS7 engine. Plus nothing is sexier than a fully remade SS chevelle.

musel all the way! the 1969 pontiac got or the 69 firebird! or the 59 cattie pink, convertible, with white leather interior! or the 65 mustang hardtop, red with a thick black stripe up the center! or ( for all the old school lovers like me) that variation of the 1969 gto called The Judge. germany can keep their mersadies, japan can burn their own rice, and great brittan can make up all the wierd abreviations they want! mustang, catalic, pontiac gto and firebird, thunder bird, thats the true love of my life! ( dont tell my girlfriend i just said that)

germany can keep their mersadies

Hold on there cowboy, lets not get retarded....MERCEDES is a fine luxury car, plus they made the SLR Mclaren, which can destroy most muscle cars

Himura Enshi ... do you realize that the only reason you german/japanese/etc car lover have cars to love is thanks to an AMERICAN inventor by the name of Herny Ford

I'd definetly take an American muscle car over a modded Civic.

Now now people, don't forget the "New school" American muscle. Caddy just released a line of powerful engines which hit 0-60 in under 5 seconds. However, the only thing is those Caddys will make a nice hole in your pocket book with their prices being AT LEAST 50k. Chrysler released their 300C Hemi which hits 0-60 in 5.9 seconds I believe. In the 2006 model year, I know they will be releasing a 300C Hemi SRT-8. 400+ stock horsepower will eat ANY Honda(Excluding the NSX) you throw at it. Hell, even the PRICE is good on it being at around 40k.

Personally, I own a Chrysler 300M(2000) which frankly, has a lot of power even for its size. Because cars weigh so much(3,800 in the 300M's case), it requires the power to push it, but even the 253 horsepower i've got is MORE than enough to eat civics, neons and pretty much any other "rice" thing moving. If you aren't willing to invest AT LEAST 5k in your import, then you aren't going to go very fast. As for cars such as Ferrari and the like, who can afford that? I'd rather pay the 40k for a Hemi V8 6.1 liter than 120k for a car with maybe two or four more cylinders.

Okay, i'm shutting up now. >_> I told you not to get me started.

But money doesnt matter here , and if it would , one would consider fuel consumption as well :p

If i had to name 2 supercars id go for the

Bugatti Veyron
1001 hp , 406kp/h topspeed , 0-60 in 2.8s

Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak
995 hp , up to 480kp/h topspeed , 0-60 in around 2,5s

Of course , number one has definetely more class and style .

Here's alittle trivia, what was the only Concept Car to ever actually go into mass production?

Answer: The Corvette Stingray. 1962 was when the street version came out but the Concept car came out in 1959. The Concept car went into production in 1960 as a race car.

Henry Ford had nothing to do with creation of german cars, they were idenpendtly made, and german inventors had a car made 20 years before ford did, but im sure you knew that, no wait, you didnt

yes, they lack appeal because hundreds of thousands of people buy them a year. And as far as im concerned lamborghini is just name recognition, trashy car IMO, engines are poorly made for a $100k+ plus car

::drool:: the monster concept corvette tigershark (700 HP!!!) went into production too, but yeah only like 80 of those were made, that would be nice to have

You've got to admit, a car with 500+ hp isn't some Acura, Honda, Mitsubishi or any other import(with the exception of the 100k cars). Imports just don't SOUND the same. You don't get a purr, you get a fart. Yeah, your car will move when idle due to vibrations, but it won't be like revving the engine inside some American muscle. I guess I just prefer the gas guzzlers even though fuel efficency IS getting better in the American market. There are now vehicles which are V8's that shut down 4 of the cylinders, while MAINTAINING speed and power once they hit cruising speed. If you want to make your big, heavy car move quickly, you need some gas behind it. Small price to pay, I think.

I admit there is one foriegn car I like and that's the Delorean. Too bad the Germans got stuck with the bill for that one. Delorean designed cars for Ford and then wanted to build the Delorean, but had to get backing. He got Germany to back him, but only made 800 cars and they didn't sell. Germany gambled and lost. But the Delorean is a cool car.
