It doesn't look that bad.. but I probably wouldn't watch it. They look much better that way than in their 'one eye is bigger than the entire body' phase.

i have always adored the powerpuff girls and their cutness. i've alway had this tiny feeling that these three colorful girls were gonna go anime...besides the big eyes and over sized heads, they were looking to fall into the anime category.
But better, i think this is gonna be really cute.

I guess it's safe to say they have to be out of pre-school now, considering the length of their skirts, and the Professor seems to have turned into one of the later, chubbier versions of Elvis, probably the result of some disastorous experiment. Mojo still looks as wicked-evil as ever though. I pray he still has the same voice actor.

The cute and childish songs, their glassy and huge eyes, colors! Yeah, they didn't want it to look exactly like anime...it's all american style i guess.

I was always under the impression that it was to some extent a joke on anime o.O Take the typical magical girls of anime and make them younger, more unbelievable, more disproportionated (anime is known for the big eyes, so let's make them bigger, etc.), and still more sickeningly sweet...and you've created the PowerPuff Girls.

I do believe Reiako is correct about how it's rather spoofy on anime. I mean, there's already a lot of normal PPG stuff that has katakana on it, there's the PPG music video played a lot (in the past, at least) on CN by Shounen Knife that has a great bit of Japanese in it.... Bubbles reads MANGA, for crying out loud. They were supposed to already be partly inspired by anime, but made more cartoony and such...

As for this... I... I'm scared, quite honestly. And not really happy about it at all. I was a PPG fan before it even had its own show and was just one of the short parts of that What a Cartoon! show or whatever it was called... This? This isn't PPG... And why does the Prof. look younger than they are?....

In all honesty, this looks like a bad joke. I know it's serious... But it looks like a joke.

The characters really changed alot. They used to be little bubbley people with no fingers and now their skinny and taller. lol :laugh:

I think the original version of the PPG's is better. They look too off in this newer anime style. I'm not used to ever seeing the PPG's getting taller. lol :laugh:
