At the rate this world is going, do you think that translating that movie ala "The Ring" style.(Replacing all of the famous japanese actors and actresses with hardly famous hacks of actors and actresses of the English speaking world.)
would be a good idea?
Not long ago, I showed this movie to a few of my friends and we attempted to set up a screening within the "Hallowed Halls" of school. Sadly, we were shot down. Luckly, the instructor was "cool' with us and decided not take action against us for that film.( Although, the Gym Teacher DOES like the idea of a real Battle Royale...)
Just like many B.R Fans do, they hope for the day that this movie would be come widely available or the day it would become a common term like " The Matrix".
This next line is made for B.R Fans.
If this movie did manage to make to theaters, would you support it?
This following line is what people worry about..
Highschool and Middle School Violence. The real reason why there is a good chance we won't get a chance to witness it on the Big Screen. Just recently there was another school shooting, that makes the what? 17th (U.S) School Shooting since 1990.
Now,think of what would happen if they brought that movie over here RIGHT before another student decided to go postal? Battle Royale would shoulder the blame , just like how the Matrix shouldered the blame for some kids who they said "Attempted" to kill students in their school.
Do the benifits really outweight the costs of bringing such a "Controversal" film over here and placing it in movies? Or , should the FCC and various groups go suck an lemon and stop babying the minds of the masses?
What is the best choice of action in all?
Life is a game after all.
