I have to agree with many of ou and say Excel Saga and it's offshoot Puni Puni Poemy. Super Milk-chan is also very strange. A rather unkown anime OVA called Shinesman is also rather wierd. Another is Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (which is airing soon on G4TechTV).

NGE the TV series and End of EVA. Why? 'cause it's the weirdest ending of an anime i had ever saw in my life. The TV ending is merely the to make Shinji to choose to create his own world or end the world permenantly. I can't figure it out why and the the Movie ending is the longest ending i have ever seen, beside the first part of the movie... with Japanese arts creavitity, they combine both live footage and anime style into a movie... whoa talk about appriciation to arts...

That distinct honor goes to Azumanga Daioh. The humor in it is just so random (anyone who has seen that dream episode can vouch)! However, I'm not bashing it by any means. In fact, it's weirdness is exactly why I love it so much and what makes it the funniest anime to me!
