im in to classic rock like led zepplin, lnyrd skynrd, jimmy hedriX, cream, and i think the beatles are great too. also great classic rock bands. grand funk railroad, yes. the who, the moody blues, traffic,. Rush, i also think eric clapton is the best guitar player ever oh yah if you like van halen then thats not classic rock. sorry if i miss spelt any.

No...I must disagree. Classic rock is anything form the 1950s to about 1972.
The 1970s was mostly disco and the 1980s can hardly be considered classic anything.
Bands that are considered classic rock would be the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, The Who, etc.

Bands that are considered classic rock would be the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, The Who, etc. Disco did not start until about 1975. Computer disco started in 1977. Classic rock continued long after 1972.

Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II, both were released in 1969. The band continued for more than a decade. Pink Floyd is not heavy metal, and I never said they were. Artists like Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles played more than just rock music.

There are a lot of groups that can be considered classic rock, but I'm not much into it these days preferring to go back to the big band era before rock began.

Quite a lot of people are listening to older music these days. I prefer to listen to a lot of older stuff myself. There are too many manufactured acts these days. :(

listen dubstar funk i no led zepplin played as long time but do you know critically aclaimed and by most others l;ed zepplin 2 is conisderd there best record and the best rockn roll record. so the 60s whas better for rock then the fricken 70s.

well i grew up around classic rock so well that was my afternoon as a child was listening to the radio and classic blaring threw in bike shops (harley davidson). I still love classic today, but i still love metal.

you guys might want to check out tubular bells by mike oldfield (my fav song of all time!)

uhm... maybe some King Crimson.... Focus has some really good songs (hocus pocus comes to mind)... yardbirds wasnt bad (altho it didnt last long... but it had both jimmi page AND eric clapton)... i dont know... too many good groups!
