I'm gonna have to conform with the Firefox people here. Changed a little while back, due to the fact that my IE sucked badly, and made browsing a nightmare. Now I have no problems at all, and I support open source software.

Thank you Firefox.

IE isn't that bad. But Firefox is much better. In one year Firefox will own IE bad. Firefox need more feature. But it keeps getting better the whole time.

The problem with IE is that it's so insecure. Visit the wrong site and get loads of spyware and viruses.

I use Firefox as well...so much better....and my computer almost never gets viruses now, and when I used IE it'd be full of viruses.....

I havn't had a virus for years. Although i use Linux.

Was actually surprised how bad it had gotten on the windows front. When i stopped using it running no AV and firewall was still an option. Now an unprotected windows box gets infected in less than 4 minutes.

Up until maybe 2 months ago I was using IE. But I tried out Firefox after hearing how much better Firefox was for the billionth time. Haven't gone back to IE since.

The virus issue, isn't that bad, just don't go to "adult" and warez sites. But I think Firefox is great.

Anyone used Opera?

Eris

Oh yes the virus issue is that serious. If you want to avoid viruses and adware you either have to stick to well known sites (although that's not entirely safe either, there's viruses that infect webservers and spread browser viruses that way) or use Firefox.

I hear that Opera is better than Firefox, but it isn't as user-friendly.

As it is, I haven't gotten all the plug-ins that I wanted for Firefox. I downloaded the plug-in to play music .... does it really have to open up another window for it to play music? Like when I play a file with Winamp, it opens up Winamp, so its no different than actually opening up the file itself.

Why do you want to play music in the web browser?

I always hated when IE tried to do that o_O

I switched to Firefox recently because IE kept giving me errors every two minutes or so(and i'm not exaggerating), so I made the switch. Only problem i've had with FF is my bookmarks being deleted. x_X

Too lazy? It takes two minutes! You spend ten times that pooping every day. How lazy can people get?

I like listening to music when I browse forums. But my taskbar gets filled with everything I have open. Which is why I like the fact that you can open a new tab under the same browser. Along with split screen browsing (that I don't have yet).

But yeah. I just want to listen to music without having winamp clotter my taskbar any further. Its a nitpick really.

Eris

Increase the height of the taskbar?

I'm a recent convert to Firefox and so far I have had no reason at all to open IE. Quite frankly, FF is better than IE in every way possible. It's a shame you cannot actually uninstall IE.
