The legendary Nobou Uematsu, creator of all the music for FF like 4 true the latest ones, is leaving Square. What is your opinion on this grave matter?

It's not something I would have ASKED to see happen. However, at least
now there will be a greater amount of new, refreshing artistic ideas coming
forth from S-E and not just the same guy mass producing way too many
songs in the same style.

Square has many games with excellent music that Uematsu never, or barely,
touched. There's not much to worry about, IMO.

Nobuo use to make some of the finest music around, but now they are being replaced by younger, talented musicians as well. Still, he will be missed - and that is quite a shocker nonetheless. I respect him evidently for his mustered talent back around 1995.

He is a great man and he will be missed. But life goes on...

Yeah, life goes on. Maybe I liked him so much because I wasn't really exposed to much other music. I mean, I grew up playing Final Fantasy(with my uncle coaching me...hehe..) so I guess that's why I think Nobuo is the best. But you know, maybe if I listened to something else that could become debateable..

Note: Nobuo is leaving square, but, he is creating his own company. This does leave the possibility his company could be paid by square to do the audio, but it also means other games will be graced with his masterful works. This is the latest news I heard on g4techtv, so please don't blame me if it isn't 100% accurate.
