What are some examples of Americ-anime? I think Teen Titans and Megas XLR qualify, but I am not sure. If Teen Titans is an example, then it shows that Americans are starting to get it. I love that show. Anyone else see it?

Yeah Teen Titans is really good. According to my brother it is American made... yeah Americans are grasping the Anime style which is good:D

I especially like the humor in the series. I prefer humor to most other things in a show.

Maybe it is just me, but I enjoy anime and other shows where there is at least a little romance.

It [teen titans] is american made, but from what I've heard, they have a few of the creators of excel saga adding their flare to its production. I would love if they made an americanime (america+anime) based off of spiderman or x-men.

a few popular American anime:
Megas XLR
Teen Titans
Code: Lyoko
Transformers (armada and energon were american. the original was japanese)

the only one i like on the list is Teen Titans.....american anime is really stupid....

I like Megas. Something about a fat stupid guy piloting a giant robot is hilraious. Teen Titans is best in the list. Code Lyoko and Transformers are utter crap.

Just a quick thought, technically, is there such a thing as "American anime"? Since anime is a reference to a form of animated medium uniquely from Japan, although the style of those cartoons can be "inspired by" anime. Are they anime themselves?

I don't know. I think not, judging from calling it Americ-anime. It refers to American attempt at making anime. I think anyway.

Yeah, a touch of romance is always good.

Especially when the pairings work out, unlike some shows (Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien). Gundam SEED is a good example of what I am talking about.

A good example of americanized anime, is Martin Mystery and Totally spies. They use stuff such as sweatdrops, or chibi characters, like anime. But you can tell it's not by the drawing style to cartoony.

So then Teen Titans qualifies as one of those. It is quite good for those of you who haven't seen it. Best American cartoon going as far as I am concerned.

to me, pretty much any anime that you see on US tv is "american style" because it's edited to suit american tastes and morals.
