whats the diffrence between anime and manga?? just some random question i dont know, hence the username.

Manga is a Japanese comic book, sort of. It usually doesn't have color.. and most are drawn in a certain way. Big eyes can be one way to spot out a manga. After a while, you'll just learn to know what is a manga, and what is a normal comic book like Spiderman or Superman.


Anime is a Japanese animated t.v. show, movie, etc'. They are drawn a lot like mangas are..

Does that clear things up a bit? O_o;

OMG...ok this is simple, a manga is a graphic novel, a comic book you could say whilst anime is something to see on the screen, animation, understand?

I think that manga means to books and anime for the series in the TV ^ ^

MAnga is the Book version it is in black and white usually identifiable by the kanji (even when translated the sound FX symbols are part of the drawings)
Anime is the cartoon version and many Manga become anime and vice versa

Manga is a book with pictures and it's in black and white.

Anime is when they move...((That didn't sound right when I typed it out)) You know..Cartoon..

I don't think I'm making any sense...

A lot of people say that they´re watching manga but I always say that they mean anime.

That's cause there are some anime's that have the manga brand and logo on them, so they asume that it's manga, e.g macross, guyver, akira, it's just a name but they don't realise that, and when people say that it generally means there new to anime and manga. Just take a look at those collecto editions of anime DVD's, there all manga branded.
