I just found out that DBZ is going to be a live action moving in 2006; did anybody else know this? Real characters, Orlando Bloom as Tian, George Lucas (Star Wars) doing the affects, the guy that directed Independence Day and Godzilla....

ya i knew about this movie about 2 years ago when i was into DBZ. and OMG some of the women portraying the girls in DBZ are like scrificing their CAREER for a "this is a bad movie" kind of movie. i dont think they shouldnt make this movie. they shoudve done it like 3 years ago when everyone had DBZ implanted in their life.

Lol this is old news xD if you look around you will see many ppl have named actors for the parts to play one i can remember is Bill Goldberg (wrestler) to be playing Nappa

on the same site they said a little later that they have stopped putting thought into the action movie for now and n-one knows when they will actually get back to it and yeah ^_^ then a little later again they said it was coming out and they started putting actors to characters xD lol

Yea I heard something about it a while ago. But the last time that I read anything on the DBZ main site thru FUNimation! they had canceled the program. But if they are continuing the program that is awsome. I can't wait, I'm a DBZ fan all the way.

I would have thought DragonBall Z had enough movies as it was... Theres already over a dozen to the best of my knowledge. (Though, as luck would have it the onl one i ever saw was, apparantly, the worst of them. If it wasnt there is no hope for this whatsoever.)

I think it'd look a bit weird, though... A Live Action movie? For a show where pretty much every main character has superhuman strength and abilities... I cant imagine how they could get the animation and digital graphics etc etc to look ok without making it more of a Superman film than a Live Action Anime. :-/

Guys, guys...this movie will surely have its good and bad points. overall (being a DBZ fan) i think this movie will probly ruin the whole anime. the anime is the best thing to see, not a live action movie with Orlando Bloom. first of all, he will ruin the movie, second of all, the effects probly will make it look like a superhero movie, and third, the stroyline will be corrupted and screwed up during the movie - new parts added, old parts taken out. Words and characters' speeches and all that stuff will be changed. This kinda thing just isnt meant to be. i would watch it to see how it goes, but i do think it would suck!

Actaually Jet Li was going to be Goku and Jackie Chan was going to be Vegeta. I know this because i have been a member of funimation.com for more than 4 years now, so i have been following the life of the LA DBZ movie. FOX canceled making the movie in May of last year.

yah knew like 2 years ago im glad georg lucas is doin it hes the only special effect guy with good enough technology. its makes sense to because fox studios is making it and george and them are like buddies. also i think orlando bloom will be a good tien. i hope they make the plot better then the show. besides that this could be the best special effects movie ever. dbz movie has been delayed but will come. this movies gonna be bad @$$

theres good enough technology to makew it look real. dude george lucas is doin it hes the master of specioal affects infact he invented computor special effects, witch is what every movie is using pretty much.

A live action DBZ movie would be awful. The only anime that I could see being good in live action, if done right, is Gundam. DBZ involves too much stuff that would not fit in live action, such as the whole moving light speed thing.

I don't really like the movies anyway. They are just short sagas. Really short. The movies usually aren't even an hour long. They need to try better with the movies. The shows are great, but it's so annoying when they keep doing the same thing. Is the AF thing also fake or what? I've been trying to learn more about it and see if they'll continue the series, but everyone is just confusing me.

Yeah the rumors about the dbzmovie are untrue, wizard shonen jump and dragonballz.com all say that they were only rumors and that none of the rumors of it being made are true whatsoever.

The origional company who was thinking about picking up the movie was fox, but they have denied picking up the movie, so has ILM, which is the george lucas special effects company. it's very sad I know but you people need to get over it.
