What's a Reputation?

I've been browsing, and i see small squares under the avatar, and it said reputation and some are green, some not can someone tell me what it means?

from what i have heard, the "reputation" is:


The reputation is a karma feature. Anyone can add or subtract from a persons reputation. If they made a good post that helped you, you can click on the little scales in the post and increase their reputation. Or lower it if you felt the post was detrimental. And their reputation will either grow or decrease. The higher a persons reputation, the more weight their opinion plays on the reputation of another.

Reputation is like karma ^_^;
Basicaly it lets people change each others reputation, green is good, red is bad. The higher your reputation, the more you can affect the reputation of others. Anyone can leave reputation for someone else by clicking on the little scales under their avatar.
