So does anyone here besides me actually read books without pictures for their own enjoyment? Because the replies in this section seem kind of lacking.

Actually, I do read a lot of history, and those books generally have photos. How do you classify those?

Does the cover count as a picture or not? If so that's a whole lot of books that have been excluded.
I presume your intention was to discount any comics/manga but you probably could have phrased that a lot better...

So what do you read for fun? No the cover doesn't count or even the occasional illustration.

Hi
How are you?

Fine, you? So what do you read for pleasure?

Of course, I do. Moreover, I have read many more such books than comics. Although I love anime, it does not replace some serious literature. You need to get some vocabulary, ideas, and thoughts from somewhere that can be applied in the future.

I generally read a 500 page novel daily. Ah Terry Pratchett, how I miss ye...

I used to have this book that was locally published. It was hilarious but it's not a story book. Just a collection of jokes arranged in a way that could make something like a story.

does Harry Potter count? I lost count how many times I read and reread the entire collection in my adolescence.

I'm assuming you just mean, does anyone read other genres of books/stories beyond illustrated?

Books are amazing! I really enjoy fiction, fantasy and some sci-fi. I also enjoy reading true crime and some non-fiction.
Historical fiction/fantasy/supernatural are probably some of my favorite sub-genres same with dystopian or post apocalyptic.

I love reading :3
