im trying to find an anime that was pretty similar to bakugan but they didn't need playing card to activate their monsters. If i remember right it had like a old medieval style to it, and i think they called them "spirits" or something. Any idea??

The Fate series? I don't know anything about Bakugan, but it sounds like Fate: Stay Night, Fate: Zero, and Fate: Stay Night Ultimate Blade Works is what you are looking for.

The anime had like a akamega kill type of art also a bit of fullmetal. They had mosnters in like ball form just in the same fashion in Bakuga, and one of the main mosnters if i remember right was this white dragon type beast.
