[Ayanami Rei]

Just name animes you have seen, if there good, bad, or just..horrible. This is so people can get peoples opionions on them, and decide whether they wish to see it. Please state reasons why for each of them.

Neon Geneisis Evangelion:
Even though this should probably be rated PG-13 for a few..scenes in the Anime and in the Movies, they also curse regulary. But, this is my favorite anime(Hence my screenname), and if you can get past all the cursing and the pg-13 scenes, its brilliant. They have a good plot, and this is the one anime I have beleived I seen, that the good guys didn't win.

Sailor Moon:
This, is one of the best Japanese Animations made. And i'm not the only one who thinks this. The anime potrays these girls, (Mainly Usagi's, but..you get what I mean), that have to save the world from utter destruction. Okay okay, you know it sounds cheesy, but the charactors are drawn great, they are played great, and in STARS everything is very awesome. I can't explain it, but its really a good anime. If you can't read Japanese, get it subbed though, the dubbed Sailor Moon is really, really bad just with one exception on one season.

Tenchi Muyo:
People everywhere have there opionions on Tenchi. Some people think its bad, some people thinks its stupid and has no plot at all, and some people really love it. I love it. Theres lots of humor to it, and poor Tenchi lives with a bunch of girls who all want him. Okay, with an exception of Sasami, but shes so sweet you'll want to watch it anyway. Yes, the plot is a bit confusing, and there is millions of series for this anime, and a couple movies, all with different plots. But, its all good.

Magic Knights Rayearth:
Here you have three girls sent to Cephiro to save the world. I can't give many spoilers, as, uh..that'd be wrong. There is two seasons in this, and a movie(which I own all of them), and Fuu, Hikaru and Umi all have to save Cephiros pillar in the first season..and if I go into any more detail i'd be giving spoilers. But, overall, this is also a very good anime. Get it in subbed also, the dubbed is kind of..iffy.

Card Capture Sakura
Even though this is more directed towards a lower audience, this has humor and adventure to it. Sakura has to capture these cards and put them all back where the came from. (Hey, I own all those cards too XD) And then the next season comes with a whole new different plot and its weird. Out of five, i'll give this is a four. As..sometimes its just confusing x_X

I think the dragon ball movies are worth watching, because if you get the japanese version, it's one long porn joke, and they all make really really funny faces. I mean, come on, they all look like they are constipated when they power up.

Pokemon
Pokemon season..one was actaully okay. As thats when they didn't start putting in millions of pokemon and made it all confusing for the more mature people with smaller brains. Like me. Anyway, first season was okay, every other season..should die.

Digimon!
YEAY! DIGIMON! My two favorite charactors are Matt(from first and second season) and Kouji(Fourth season). Now, everyone thinked that ever season but the first one in Digimon sucked. I personnally liked the second and the fourth..as the third season scared me. Anyway, i'd still give it a nine out of ten, as it was really good. Yeay.

Blood the Last Vampire.

That is quite possible the Worst Anime I have ever seen. Sure, it had Eye Candy gallore, but, what is a bunch of pretty pictures when you cannot see the plot? Ok...Saya is out to kill a bunch of monster/vampires terrorizing an Army Base/School...ok. O.o That was it. The animation was wonderful, but, I think that was all they worked on when they made it. The ending was crappy. Never once did they mention Anything about Saya. It she human? A vampire? A dunpeal? I dunno. I did not think it was worth seeing. Even though it was a free rental..you know, rent 4 get one free, I wish a picked a differant anime/movie.

That's why it was a good anime. That's the beauty. It was alot more in depth than you think. Re-watch it, and at the end, make sure you listen. Quit staring at the eye-candy, and open your ears. I'll admit, it's not that good of an anime, but it's not that bad either.

I was a fan of it a long time ago. But then I grew up. The anime is good, it inspired me to drawl like that. It was the first anime I ever watched

Ruroni Kenshin:
The second anime I watched and I STILL love it! It has a beautiful plot, Wonderful story, and a AWESOME(and CUTE) star! And they give you details on Kenshins history, They make the show make more sense.

All I can say is*Holds a sign up saying"Kill Relena already,Heero! She's annoying!"*But like Ruroni kenshin, Nice plot, nice characters, etc.

Well chun, i have a couple things to say. For one, the one on cartoon network SUCKS. Samurai X was WAY better, i mean, it was kenshin when he was 18, as a soul-less assassin, running around kyoto killing people. It was a great anime, with an in-depth plot, and an intense main character. The ending of samurai X was the ending of the second kenshin, which i found rather funny, yet it's incredibly depressing, i cried after i watched that. Now THAT is scary.

However, the second kenshin, also known as Rurouni Kenshin, isn't that bad either. It's got good stuff, and bad. The voice overs are pretty good, the style of drawing is good, cartoon network chops it up into little bloody bits, and makes it horrible? YES. I hate cartoon network for RUINING that anime. I know basically ALL there is to know about kenshin, i own the manga's, the DVD's, and some action figures, but that's a LONG story....Moving onward. The reason girls like it is for the love story between kenshin and kaoru (spellcheck on that?). Guys watch it for the fighting, and sadly, it's not in every episode. The beginning episodes are fast, where many fight scenes, and little plot is discussed. The middle episodes contain much more deeper meaning, like the love story, not that much fighting, and kenshin's past, and the character evolution. However, the ending of kenshin is pretty much pure storyline and action, not much romance to it. It's a damn good anime, with decent music, which is always a plus. If you've ever looked up Ice Blue Eyes lyrics, they are incredibly sad, and the music in english just doesn't make sense.

The only way to watch kenshin is subb'ed, or it won't make sense about what they are saying. Trust me.

...Cartoon network has that show on their schedual? I didnt know that. And I defenatly didnt know there was romance between those two(I dunno how to spell her name, weird japanese names are hard to remember....)Just thought she was a obstical for Kenshin to move out of his way. I think the battles are awesome, the characters arent godly, their limited in power so they have to use some things in the enviorment and stuff like that.

the first anime i watched was sailor moon and i still love it. i've been a fan for 8 years. thier are stuff about it that i don't like the fighting scenes. my favorite season is stars.  

the other anime i've seen are DNA2, (its really funny) Kenshin, plastic little, and dragon ballz. since i don't have cable, i can't watch some of the new ones on tv.

Cartoon Network takes any anime it gets its hands on that has any decently goood unedited footage on and crushes it, crushes it till it bleeds and dies. Animes just aren't the same if they aren't purely unedited with all the footage made to be the way it was originally made. I've watched a lot of the anime on CN and the animes they absolutely killed were Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho.

    Anyways, on with the actual topic. Some of my all time fav animes are Rurouni Kenshin (Can never stop watching that over and over again cause I got all the eps on DVD, need I say more?) Samurai X (Kenshin as a heartless assassin running over the city of Kyoto slaying people in the Revolution, who could ask for more?) DBZ, umm.. DBGT is just a pure insult to what DBZ was, I don't need to say anything else. Seen many others, cept I'm too tired to name them all. Do it some other time, probably won't though cause I'm really lazy. ^_^

As for Cartoon Network...Dude...for some, that is the ONLY way they can get their anime fix. Even though it is all dubbed and edited. Beggers, like me who is living without Any Anime, cannot be choosers. Edited, dubbed...while somethings in the anime may change, it is all good. Some people prefere the dubbed and edited stuff. I, for one, support Cartoon Network and am Happy they show all the anime they do. -sniffle- I miss my anime....

I agree with you, Takegami. Cartoon Network may air edited anime, but it isn't honestly their fault. They aren't the ones doing to dubbing after all. People tend to forget that. All I see is lots of complaining and nobody trying to do anything about it. Oh well, on to a review.

Green Green

Probably the most disappointing part about Green Green is that you always know what's going to happen before it actually does. At first the show seems to be nothing but a show for perverts with wonderfully bouncy and fanservicey female characters.. Wait, that’s pretty much all it is.
The basic story is that an all boys’ school is having a group of girls stay over for the summer, to see if they're capable of dealing with a transition to a co-ed school. Peeping, panty raids, drinking bath water and guys dressing up in bikinis ensue. One of the things I found to be most disturbing was Douching-sama, the female tracking device. There is a weak underlying plot as you get further along, unrequited love from a past life trying to make things work this time around.
All in all, not really original, really perverted, great animation.

good: lets see..hellsing..i love that one, i like the kenshin ova's, trigun, captain tylor, escaflone--subbed as the dub was horribly cut, berzerk...there are a lot of other good animes..usually i take into account the art of it, story, art and other things

bad:..escaflone..the dubbed one as they tried to take out a character important to the story..there's other's 'm sure..that's all i can think of for that..

ugly: the only dragonball that i do like is the first..where goku was young..any of the others..well..let me give my reasons..i'm sure i'll get a lot of replies to this..because of what i say but here goes..
my reasons for calling dragonball z and the ones after 'ugly':
1: the art work isn't all that fantastic..sure it's not bad..but it really could use some help..
2: most of the people are so muscular that they couldn't wipe they're own butts..you'd think that'd be important..wouldn't you..?
3: they mostly fight with their hands...now there are a lot of techniques were you can use your legs..but they usually use a open hand...or a fist..now..if this was actually done by a martial artist..they would know to curl the fingers at the top..which the fighters in dbz do not. now..you might ask 'why curl the fingers?' so that if you break one hitting something..the rest of them do not break...
4: namek...more or less..the destruction of...it was supposed to take five minutes..what happened to that? it took..at least 2 or 3 episodes, perhaps more..and that is no five minutes..
5: goku is more or less immortal..he's died quite a few times...and brought back, so you have a character that can't truely die..now that doesn't have to be a bad thing..but..it can be..
