I just read this in the news. Satoru Iwata, the president of Nintendo, passed away today at the age of 55.

When I saw the news I underwent four of the five stages of grief... I don't get why his death hit me so hard. I've known about him for a year and was unaware that he was in charge in 2000. Not only that, but I'm a Sega/Sony kid with a limited interaction with Nintendo's consoles and games... I don't get why this hurt so much. ;_;
