During today's Pokemon livestream event, The Pokemon Company has announced Pokken Tournament, a new Pokemon fighting game hitting Japanese arcades. The game is currenly being developed by Bandai Namco Games under the supervision of Tekken Project series director Katsuhiro Harada and Soulcalibur series main programmer Masaaki Hoshino.
No announcement has been made on a Wii U release, but as most fighters, it will come to the platform eventually. Pokken Tournament will hit Japanese arcades sometime in 2015.
The Pokemon Company has also uploaded a teaser trailer on their official YouTube channel, which shows Lucario and Machamp battling in a Tekken-style arena was also released. Check it out below:
