On the latest issue of CoroCoro, they finally revealed more information on the latest Pokemon games, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire showing new Mega evolutions, new character designs as well as a first look into the game.

As previously shown in both games cover art, the Mega Evolutions for Groudon and Kyogre presented are the legendaries’ original and more unstable forms. They go by Prehistoric Groudon and Kyogre, and their form is known as Ancient Devolution.
.It also shows that the Generation III starters, Swampert and Sceptile will also be getting their Mega forms, along with Diancie. Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon-type while the others keep their original type. The scan shows Mega Diancie's ability currently as "???" while Mega Sceptile has Lightning Rod and Mega Swampert has Swift Swim.
Steven Stone will be returning into the remakes as well, and it seems that he owns a Mega Charizard X, and his goal is to learn about the secret of Mega Evolution.
