well of course Tekken is better but Soul Caliber doesn't suck. It depends what tekken are you talking about? bryan is my favorite i guess your talking about 4 so here's my line up Bryan, Steve, Kazuya, and Eddy not christie she should have never been made just like tiger.

um is this a tekken thread or a soul calibur thread? both games kick donkey! i saw the trailer for tekken 5 yesterday and it lookes sweet! three new fighters and bryan is going to have a different body. Favorite for tekken is martial law and forrest law ... for soul calibur 2 its maxi and kilik

i used to love the tekken series. But i stopped playing it for a while and started playing SC2. I tried to play tekken again and i hated it. I still like te tekken series, but i like SC2 alot more.

im neutural on this subject i like both games and the sertin charecters mainly i like (yoshimitsu)spelling)from both games even though he looks gay on sc2 he has pretty much the same moves

tekken is a fist fighter but soul calibur deals w/ weapons. and lets not forget that they have tekken people in the soul calibur. you are basically saying both suck. me its sc2 and waits for sc3 and tekken4 or is it 5 cant remember

Does any one have taste anymore? This is how the 3-d brawlers chain of command goes.
1.virtua fighter (the 1 and only king)
2.soul calibur (1 is better then 2 but still solid)
3.mortal kombat (marred with dramatic changes in quality but current efforts are good)
4.Tekken (week combo system most characters are virtua fighter rip offs)
5.dead or alive (this is subjectable but theis games make my blood boil)

Anyway DOA is number one, it's much better than Virtua Fighter! xP DoA introduced an affective counter system, gameplay is fast paced and fluid, unlike others such as tekken where it takes forever to make a move, and DoA was the first to use interactive enviroment and no other beat'em'up has match the quality and playabilty of this game, Soul Caliber 2 maybe but the movement in that game is just so rigged! And who can forget those lovable sexy busty doa girls, lol KASUMI ROCKS xD

Soul Caliber was a cool game and I played it in the arcade. Now I own the game Soul Caliber 2 for the GameCube. I have also Played the ps2 version.

You can actully plug ur ps2 controler into the under side of the player and use that rather then using the normal joystick. And paul kicks MAJOR butt in this one. Yoshimitsu keeps getting f'ed up tho.

yaa go paul!! he's my fav too. as for the SC series, I hate the story and it's to easy to pull off killer moves if someone is just mashing the controler. But I do like the Charecters...exept astroth. I hate him!

Soul Calibur does not suck! Sure I prefer Tekken over Soul Calibur but both games a damn good man....a fighter that does suck is something like those stupid Street Fighter EX...you know those stupid 3-D ones....(not the 2-D ones)...bleah!! Also, I did like Soul Calibur better on the Dreamcast...part two dissapointed me...maybe cuz I got the ps2 version and EGM said that was THE worst version..:laugh:

Sc has the range variation due to the differnt types of weopons but Tekken has more move variety... now if someone would combine the two... ^_^;

Far as tekken goes. my Fav. all time character has to be the original Kuma/Panda
nothing like beating your opponent the either biteing his face off, moonwalking over him... or simply farting in his face!! XDDD
tekken 4 pissed me off though. Not only do they remove his only real advantage, his long reach but did they really have to give him the rediculous orange t-shirt and make him look Winnie the Pooh?!

Soul calibur is just better then tekken in so many ways. For starters soul calibur is original tekken is virtua fighter rip off. Sc characters are very cool and original (aside from taki) most of tekken are just sad. Aside from jin ogre and hiachi they all pretty much suck.

I got both the games and I like Soul Caliber 2 than Tekken 4 because SC2 deals with weapons. I still like Tekken 4 and I can't wait for Tekken 5 to come out. I just saw the trailer for Tekken 5 and the graphics look better than 4. I can't wait.
