School knife attack

I'm guessing you've heard about this by now. But don't you find it a bit odd, that nobody died? It seems almost like he was trying to wound, but not kill. Why?

My hunch is he was trying to prove that knives are less dangerous than guns, so he intentionally stabbed his victims in non-vital spots (places other than the heart, as the heart being stabbed would result in death in about a minute). This I believe was a direct response to conservatives who support gun rights who say "It's not about the weapon used, but rather the person using it. Weapons don't kill people. People kill people.". He killed for a political belief? Yes I think he did. And I think it was likely a government conspiracy. I think he probably was forced to do so by the US government that's being run by a complete democrat nutjob named Obama. How could a highschool kid be forced by the government to do something like this? Read my comment in the comments section on the news story to see my full explanation of how I think this happened. Although it does seem like he wasn't out to actually kill anybody. If you wanted to actually kill someone from a knife attack they aren't expecting it'd be pretty trivial to do so.

I suspect he wanted attention, which I'm sure he'll get in droves. Not as much attention as if he had used a scary black gun. But this way he's just a juvie that only injured people and probably will cop some mental excuse. He'll get out, quite possibly while he's still in his 20s.

Contrary to popular belief, it's actually very hard to kill someone with a knife. You have to take into account his adrenaline was probably pumping and he was just looking to do whatever he could in the short time frame he knew he had. It's sad things like these are more common now a days. Back in September my college was on the news because someone stabbed 2 people on the shuttle bus. You won't see anyone trying to ban knives though, unlike guns.

Or 2 kitchen knives were the only weapons he could conjure up due to lack of planning and being a more "heat of the moment" decision. I mean the only way to tell is if they can prove he had premeditated this before grabbing the knives and coming to school.

Thinking about it a bit more, is that actually the case for introverts these days? I graduated high school as the internet was ramping up so we weren't quite "digital natives".

Anyway there were plenty of introvets, forever alones, etc. But there weren't people in my HS that I was aware of that didn't have friends. Usually you'd have a few sets actually between school, church, work, extracurriculars, extended family, friends of siblings that would be around, neighborhood kids, and especially where those overlapped.

Nobody just sat alone at lunch you know? I guess that could have just been where I lived, but I get the impression that's how it usually was.

What occurs to me with these massacre types is that the news agencies shove their cameras in everybodies face that has something to do with the event. Even if it's just a parent running from their house to their car while yelling apologies or "no comment" or something. I can't recal once with one of these attacks where they've talk to "a friend" or "his girlfriend". Which leads me to believe a common thread is they didn't have either, because if they existed they'd be on TV whether they wanted to be or not.
