Back in 2012, Viz Media created a subscription-based anime-streaming service that was exclusive for the PlayStation 3 called "Neon Alley". Neon Alley wasn't like Crunchyroll, as the service instead of using the On-Demand formula,, it used a 24-hr set up instead. The application was in demand that Neon Alley was also made available for the Xbox 360 as well.

In February, it was announced that Neon Alley will change to On-Demand as well as be made for free and offer the variety of anime they offered at VizMedia.com into NeonAlley.com. However, a lot of their material will be integrated into Hulu Plus, which is another separate service which requires a paid-subscription. If you're a Neon Alley member however, you will be offered a 2 week trial instead of 7 days. This makes the current app useless as most of the content will be available either on the website or Hulu Plus.

If you had a Neon Alley subscription, what are your thoughts?
