Another episode and another entertaining episode. Chunibyo 2 didn't fail to make this episode worth watching with the interesting pot revolving both Nibutani and Sanae and their relationship.

So the episode starts off with Rika and Yuuta being back from their field trip and talking about it with Kumin-senpai, until their noticed Sanae dressed differently. So Kumin, Rika, Yuuta and Nibutani decided to follow her and hide behind a bush to see what what's up. Little did they know, she met with a person who claimed to be the real Mori Summer, little did Sanae know that it wasn't the real one and it was a tactic to get closer to her and you can see the impostor interested in her when she starts taking off digital pictures of her. It stroked the group as weird as it would to anyone though.

Nibutani thinks of the impostor as a joke and comes out of the bush and decides to expose her as the impostor. However, she fails as her plan backfired when they used her denial of ever being Mori Summer against her. However, you can see that as much as she denies it she still considers her alias as Mori Summer as part of her when you she her trying to find evidence that she ever was Mori Summer but as she tried to delete it from her life, she couldn't find anything.

So when she decides to confront the impostor again and couldn't prove that she was the real Mori Summer, especially with Sanae supporting the impostor by calling her the real Mori Summer. Realizing how Sane is clingy to this person because she thinks she's the real Mori Summer, she takes it as a relief from her past and Sanae won't be pestering her enough, or at least she tries to fake it and Sanae isn't too happy either about Nibutani just giving up either.

Kumin noticing that the impostor is up to something, she talks to Yuuta and Nibutani about something peculiar she noticed and that's how she stares at Sane and how it looks like she's interested in her. Obviously, Nibutani isn't happy about Sanae being too clingy to this other person not to mention using something she created (and cares about) for dirty intentions (possibly pedophilia but not getting into that) so she decides to have a battle with the impostor in front of Sanae to prove that she is the real deal with the help of Shichimiya and Rikka.

So then the ultimate showdown to prove who is the authentic Mori Summer begins with a beautiful battle scenario, hands down one of the best scenes animated by KyoAni so far throughout this season and showing they are capable of animating a Shonen series and always find it funny how far they take it with their imagination and make it seem like a the battle was real, one of the reasons why I personally look forward to watch another episode of this series, but I digress. Nibutani was losing to the impostor and that's where Sanae jumps into the scene to defend Nibutani showing that they actually cared about each other beneath all the bickering, and said while she still thinks Nibutani is a fake Mori Summer, she thinks the impostor is a fake one as well for behaving quite the opposite to what Mori Summer is supposed to be like.

The episode ends with them having their usual bickering after their accidental kiss happened back on Christmas. You have to love that scenes and the relationship these two characters have, and as much they bicker, they enjoy each other's company and this episode showed a good development for both of them as well.

Again, yet another episode from Chunibyo that was entertaining to watch, especially with Nibutani and Sanae getting another episode where they are the center of the episode and showing some development in their relationship as well not to mention the beautiful animation by KyoAni made it just an eyecandy to watch. This episode gets a 9/10 from AnimeGlobe.
