A very gory TV show, indeed.... BUT WHY DO WE WATCH THEM?

Hey-o! I just want to discuss television series that have restrictions.

Specifically, the gory ones. Take for example Super Jail

I can't exactly define my intake on that ridiculousness of a show, but I'm going to say that... It wasn't horrible. Friggin gross, but bearable.

HTF, which I found hilariously messed up. I believe it's a simple web series, flash or something. I don't think it would of ever gotten the chance to hit TV. Anyways, it's just one of those things you look back on and ask yourself "is it wrong that I liked that show?" I liked it, I mainly watched for Flippy, Flaky, Nutty, and Splendid though (mainly Flippy), but does that make us sick??? I for one feel fine.. or am I later on in life gonna develop some sick, split personality that can only be treated with the help of drugs and therapy??

I have to say, I did like the fandom of HTF, quite a number of Artist I wouldn't mind meeting, lol but srsly though, what do you think?

You really think it's as messed up... as that $(*&%&*$@%^ of an indie movie?? Hahaha... I don't think so. Superjail is waaaaay worse in my opinion. I haven't watched it, but I've read reviews and watched Tosh.0 Spoiler Alert and I was like "yeeeah, I'm good on that." I've been watching HTF since I was 14, and look how I turned out ("•˘з˘•) so, it's whatever. You however, you've seen The Human Centipede??

I've seen parts of the movie, but never wanted to watch it. I saw a couple episodes of Happy Tree Friends and had the same reaction to the parts of that movie I have seen.

I, personally, love HTF. :D Though I've seen regrettably few episodes. I remember the first time my friend told me to watch it. He said the title and I was like, "o.O Wtf dude? Happy Tree Friends? You want ME to watch a show called Happy Tree Friends?" It took about a year before I finally looked it up and finally saw what he loved about it. xD

Have you ever heard of Foamy the Squirrel? Look up "Foamy's Rant III" on YouTube. You'll see what I mean. :P I have not seen Super Jail, nor do I really want to. I'm not generally a fan of most Adult Swim non-anime shows. :/

Then again, I am a very sick and twisted person in general, when you get right down to it. Probably more than is healthy. My favorite historical person to study is known as "The Blood Countess" and tortured/killed 600+ young girls. But that seems to be genetic with the women in my family. We're all a bit messed up in the head. Oh well. More fun that way. >: D LOL

So no, clearly I do not think there is anything wrong with it. It just depends on your taste.

Maybe I dislike this show due to me working with animals for a living? I've always enjoyed helping and saving injured animals so that may also link to my hatred of this show. I understand it has fans and taking it seriously may be wrong, but it just makes me sick.

Hey! SuperJail! I haven't heard about that show in years. I haven't seen it, but my brother used to talk about it a lot. I told myself to look it up eventually but due to a crappy memory and even more crappy attention span, I forgot about it lol. Didn't know it was an AdultSwim show.

HTF. I watched it a lot in Junior High. There was one time I was in the hospital, and my friends had come to visit me. I don't like people worrying about me, so I tried to cheer them up by singing the HTF theme onto their phones and setting it as their ringtone. The nurse even came in at one point, commenting on how loud we were laughing LOL. Whoops.

I've watched a few episodes of Foamy, but I found it pretty funny. Only complaint is his voice. I can never seem to get it out of my head after I've watched the show. @-@ And sometimes I'd end up "thinking" in Foamy's voice whenever I was really irritated about something, which made me both amused and even more irritated at the same time.



...Is no one gonna mention South Park? You want gory cartoons, just watch the second movie. Aye carumba.

Oh and Salad Fingers. Not so much gory as just totally weird and creepy, but I figured I'd mention it anyway lol.

I totally know what you mean. His voice sticks in your head so much. >.< Though I have that problem x10 if I watch one with Pill-Z, especially if it's the one where he gets to sing. I sing about seeing Elvis being in my refrigerator for a week. xD

The reasons cartoons like this exist is to buck the trend that 'cartoons are for kids', in the same vein as South Park, Family Guy/Cleveland Show, Drawn Together, etc. That, and to appease the growing trend of teenagers/adolescents that still take interest in watching cartoons over reality TV/soaps. Because soaps suck.


Never seen HTF though, but I doubt it's just a flash animation. I remember seeing DVDs in my HMV a few years back. I've probably seen worse than it, though. Like Drawn Together. That was pretty messed-up.
