Anyone know? I don't want to ruin the disc....

It won't harm the disc I believe, but it won't read it either. If you have a PS3, then you're golden because it has a built-in Blu-ray player in it. Newer X-Boxes may also have that, but I don't know if they do or not. You can probably get a decent Blu-Ray drive for your computer cheap though.

Depending on the manufacturer you can organise to have it sent back and they upgrade it for free.
