This was a TV show aired on Fox Kids back in the early 1990s.
As the story goes:
His quest is to undo the spell of living stone that was cast upon his family, by driving the evil serpent men back into another dimension, and vanquishing their leader, the cruel wizard Wrath Amon.
(note: this is taken nearly word for word from when the story is announced in the intro for this cartoon)
Conan's sword and the weapons of his companions were forged from a magical metal called starmetal. This metal came to earth in the form of a meteor shower that rained down meteors made of this metal. When melted down and formed into weapons, the weapons are super strong, far stronger than ordinary steel. They also have a certain property that the weapons glow in the presence of evil "serpent man" soldiers (in much the same way Frodo's sword in LOTR would glow when an orc was nearby). Furthermore when held near a "serpent man" who's magical disguise power made them look human, the starmetal weapons would reveal the true form of the person as a "serpent man". And most importantly these weapons, when striking a "serpent man", will open a portal that will suck this enemy up into another dimension and trap them there, sealing them away forever.
It has been released on DVD.
